This company specialises in the design, development and manufacture of very high quality lighting and furnishing products. As an international business and a prominent supplier to the interior designer and specifiers market their products have earned a reputation of being extremely well made and beautifully designed. The company is looking for a junior CAD designer with at least 12 months workplace experience to join their small design team.

You must have proven history of working with Solidworks, Photoshop as well as general technical skills. An experience of working with similar product types and an understanding of the basic principles of manufacture in various metals, glass and ceramics is an advantage. You will need to be able to interpret a design brief, also reverse engineer from existing products and produce workable and accurate 3D CAD models as well as 2D technical production drawings for evaluation by their management team and ultimately reference for factory production.

Interior Design Co-ordinator & Administrator, London

Immediate start. This small and highly creative interior design practice works for both private clients and developers on very high end, large properties within mostly the London area. The current project is a large rebuild in Hampstead and is at the final stages of decorating and installation. The Principal Designer is seeking an organised individual to take on the responsibility of all the soft furnishings and fabrics for this project. This will involve collating samples, scheduling, listing and handling suppliers and coordinating deliveries, running the design office and general administrative duties as required. Further projects will involve assisting with FF&E selection and some drawing and design work. They are seeking a candidate as a quick start for a full-time, permanent role but who can work on a self-employed basis and use their own laptop.

You will need at least 4 years’ experience working with an interior decorator on residential projects and used to dealing with suppliers on a variety of styles of fabrics and furnishings. Extremely organised and efficient you will need to be a good communicator, literate and numerate, enthusiastic and used to working to tight deadlines. An understanding of design and different styles is also important.

Based in Surrey, this well-established company is now seeking a Senior Interior Designer / Project Manager to work within the commercial and private sectors.

Applicants must have 5-10 years show house design experience and be able to lead and manage multiple projects. You should have excellent communication and client facing skills, be well presented and extremely organised. You will be able to run design projects from initial brief through to final installation, in compliance with company procedure. Your full involvement will be required on all aspects in order to deliver the project on time and within budget. CAD experience, in particular VectorWorks and InDesign, is highly desirable.
