Person / Experience Required:

  • Professional and motivated sales designer with excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Or strong CAD and technical skills to work alongside the Sales Designers
  • Experience within the kitchen or residential interior design sector
  • A professional and responsive personality, warm, confident and motivated
  • Diplomacy, decisiveness and a high degree of personal style is rewarded in this people orientated business

For the sales design role there is a basic salary on offer with a high achievable OTE for the right person of between £100k to £150k. The CAD role is a salaried position with the potential of a bonus.

As a young but established company it is a really great time to join them and they are currently recruiting for an Architectural Designer who is Part 1 qualified but not looking to return to their studies.

The main remit of your job will be:

1. As part of the design team - assisting with AutoCAD drawings, layouts, elevations and construction details; visiting architectural practices to take briefs on new projects; visiting sites under construction and answering technical queries; taking site photos.
2. The showroom - you will be taking responsibility for the showroom, maintaining and improving its impact; managing how best to present samples on display; sending samples out to clients and managing larger samples out on loan
3. The sales team - you will be liaising with the sales team to assist with new enquiries

Person / Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with a Part 1 architectural qualification
  • AutoCAD - good knowledge of basic construction drawings
  • A confident decision maker
  • Strong Excel capabilities
  • Proactive and highly organised
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and meet assigned tasks
  • Excited by the design industry

This company has been producing bespoke furniture and specialist finishes for many years for the high-end London and international markets working for leading interior designers, architects and private clients. They currently have two requirements:

1. Furniture Design Technician with excellent technical knowledge of furniture construction to produce accurate working drawings using VectorWorks and the concept design drawings to be used in the sales process.


2. Senior Furniture Designer who will be supervising the design team and also producing working drawings using VectorWorks and the concept design drawings. The SFD will have responsibility for coordinating makers and subcontractors to ensure timely production of bespoke items.

Persons / Experience Required:

  • Knowledge and experience of VectorWorks or similar CAD program
  • Knowledge of furniture manufacturing techniques and materials
  • Site installation experience is desirable as well as practical cabinet-making or bench skills
  • Good hand-sketching ability would also be desirable
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work with multiple projects
  • Strong analytical, budget awareness and problem solving skills

Salaries: Furniture Design Technician - £23k to £29k, Senior Furniture Designer - £30k to £38k.
