Assistant Workshop Manager and Production Team - Essex - up to £30,000 (V04148)

Our client specialises in Experiential Design, Production and Installation and are proud to count large brands and leading marketing agencies amongst their clients. Their range of services cover everything from exhibition stands, product launches and bespoke sampling stands to PR stunts, sampling bins and giant props.
 
Based near the borders of Essex and Hertfordshire, within easy reach of London, they currently have a vacancy to work within their production team. This is a hands-on role with tasks which could include: CAD drawing, carpentry, metalworking, head rigger, spray painting, scenic finishes, paint management, general production build, CAD interpretation, CNC & Laser cutter operation, vinyling, prop making, installation crewing, lead carpenter, sanding, filling & finishing.
 
The role includes development of practical skills including scenic, LX, sound and electronics and working in line with the Company sustainability policy, ensuring minimising wastage and organise off cuts of production material for use on subsequent jobs. Health & Safety compliance is essential as is quality control for all projects.
 
This position is based on set hours per week as there needs to be some flexibility as this industry often needs you to work different hours on-site dependant on the project. Salary will be £28k pa based on 40 hours per week plus BUPA and pension.
 
Skills and Experience needed from the Production Team / Assistant Workshop Manager:
  • Scenic and paint knowledge, carpentry and construction skills would be useful
  • Good time keeping and communication skills, and be able to work with an adaptable, flexible and accommodating attitude
  • Proactive with an enthusiastic, self-motivated and positive disposition and must be able to work well as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills along with the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • IT competent, ideally able to use AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of CNC and Laser cutting would be useful
  • Driving licence

Our client is a luxury interior design company with a lovely warm and inviting studio and a culture which is inspiring and supportive where their team can flourish. Their clients are mainly private individuals and the projects range from refurbishments to complete fit-outs for new properties.
 
Due to growth and an influx of projects they are looking for an Interior Architect to work for them on a full-time basis. Their ideal candidate will be a technically accurate designer with great listening skills, able to interpret a client's individual brief and realise their vision to budget. 
 
Based in Surrey but inside the M25, you will be working in a team and autonomously, using your initiative and with a flexible 'can do' attitude. In return they are offering extremely competitive salaries and are open to flexible working.
 
Skills and Experience sought should include:
  • Luxury residential interior design experience
  • Technically minded, able to create specs and working detailed drawings
  • Good Interpersonal and client presentation skills

They are currently seeking a Bathroom Sales Designer for each of their showrooms in SW London.
 
Main Duties of the Bathroom Sales Designer:
  • To meet with clients and offer a full design and sales service
  • Follow-up on leads, quotations and order payments
  • Provide detailed information and advice on world renowned luxury bathroom brands
  • Build strong relationships with clients in both Trade and Retail to generate repeat business
  • Developing business and being proactive by approaching new / old trade clients to generate new leads
Skills and Experience needed from the Bathroom Sales Designer:
  • Previous bathroom sales and design experience dealing with known luxury bathroom brands
  • A strong flair for selling and design with a high degree of motivation
  • CAD literate (they use Virtual Worlds and SketchUp)
  • Customer-focused, with a positive attitude and good people communication skills
  • Confident in working with high-net worth clients where discretion and a high level of professionalism is required
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work on several projects at the same time

Ongoing training will be provided enabling you to fully understand their product range and visit the customer’s home, listen to their ideas, design their dream kitchen and follow the whole process through to completion (the ordering and scheduling will be handled by a different team).
 
Skills and experience needed for the Kitchen Designer role:
  • Strong design and sales background within the independent kitchen marketplace

  • Able to work to deadlines and targets
  • A natural flair for design, presentation and customer service

Salary:

Projects include bars, restaurants, hotels, casinos and cafes and they are based within easy commuting distance to London.
 
They currently have an opening for an Architectural Technician to join the team. This is a creative problem-solving, architectural design role for someone who has a good knowledge of building regulations and planning law to oversee compliance of the interior design team’s work undertaken. You will be detailing and lodging all local authority submissions from building regulations, planning and listed buildings to ensure all the work undertaken by the creative team is fully compliant. Knowledge gained through working on hotel and/or hospitality projects would be an advantage but not essential, more importantly is the ability to adapt to fast-track project delivery which can be varied from small scope to new builds.
 
They operate a development programme of review with a projection to an individual’s three-year target. Salary on offer is c£30k plus pension and use of a pool car for site visits.
Hours are 9am - 5.30pm, Mon- Fri.
 
Skills and Experience needed by the Architectural Technician: 
  • Experienced in a similar role with a good understanding of logistics for project delivery
  • Understanding of the RIBA work stages
  • An understanding of Health & Safety management in Construction
  • Clean Driving Licence
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar
  • Excel and Microsoft literate
