Operations Manager - Wiltshire - up to £60,000 (V03551)

This British design house and manufacturer of upholstered furniture for national high street retailers are about to launch their corporate and hospitality offering for designers and contract specifiers. This will be the main driver towards the next phase of the company's growth.

To help achieve this, they are looking for an Operations Manager to join their skilled team to run the production facility.

They are looking for someone who has previously had the experience of leading the change from a workshop environment to a professional manufacturing and QC house, with the people, team and culture at the heart of process. You will be initiating and driving lean management and change culture through empowerment of the team and building a new way of working. Experience in upholstery is not a prerequisite, although passion, determination, integrity and a good nature is!

Person / Experience Required:

  • Relevant qualifications, ideally in Business Administration
  • Experience of working in a workshop environment
  • An engineering background would be advantageous
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Systematic organised approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • An ideas person with creative flair would be beneficial

Based in Staffordshire, they have a pedigree of many years in the industry and a portfolio of clients including Barratt Homes, Persimmon and Stewart Milne amongst others.

They are currently seeking two Sales Managers; one to cover the Midlands down into the South of England and one to cover the North of England. The location of the candidate will not be an issue as you will be working remotely as long as you are able to come into the office regularly for any meetings as required.

Person / Experience Required:

  • Experienced sales professional with knowledge of the showhome sector, used to dealing with housebuilders and developers

This ambassador for the French style of living, designs and creates interiors with an emotional impact. An influential name in cabinet making both in France and abroad, their London luxury furniture boutique is extremely busy and is seeking a Consultant / Interior Designer to join the team.

Managing from the onset of order acceptance you will be providing a turn-key solution to your customer, conducting home visits, specifying products and overseeing through to the installation of the project. Working closely with the design department at their Head Office, you will also help within the showroom ensuring all displays are beautifully presented at all times.

There is the potential to take on management responsibilities for the right person.

Person / Experience Required:

  • Diploma in interior design or equivalent
  • At least five years in the same role or similar
  • Fluent in English with some French speaking ability
  • Dynamic and flexible person with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Sense of responsibility and initiative
  • Impeccable selling techniques and customer service
  • CAD literate
  • Good free-hand drawing skills to convey your designs to the customer on paper
  • Smart and professional in appearance

Summary of requirements:

There will be a generous basic salary plus realistic targets with the potential to achieve over £100k in earnings
