FF&E Designer - London - up to £40,000 (V03989)

This creative design studio work with high net worth clients on both historical and contemporary interiors, bespoke furniture and uniquely designed fabrics.
 
Continually busy with new projects coming in they are looking for a creative and organised individual to take on the role of FF&E Designer. You will be handling suppliers, sourcing new products, assisting with the preparation of various projects, invoicing and listing. This is a very varied role and would particularly suit someone who has worked in a similar / supporting role within an interior design practice or a luxury interiors showroom and is familiar with furnishings, lighting and pieces of artwork using the finest materials.
 
There will be plenty of opportunities for progression as the role develops.
 
Day-to-day responsibilities for the FF&E Designer include:
  • Sourcing products and samples
  • Procurement of orders and authorising invoices for payment
  • Arranging shipments and collection of deliveries
  • Assisting with all FF&E aspects on projects
  • Assisting with mood boards and design schemes
 
Background and skills needed for the FF&E Designer:
  • A good understanding of and the ability to use MS Excel and able to issue sales invoices
  • At least 2 years' relevant work experience
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and visual
  • Organised and efficient with good administrative skills
  • Excellent research skills and the ability to compile and present that information
  • Resourceful with imaginative solutions for sourcing

Our client creates beautiful bespoke furniture and since their inception, they have worked with some of the most decorated interior designers and superyacht designers in the country.
 
The company’s philosophy is based upon creative development, inspiration and enthusiasm and for the right candidate, this role could be fully remote.
 
As Head of Design you will be using your experience, knowledge and enthusiasm to translate initial design concepts to unique visual drawings, renderings, 3D graphics and animations, seeing projects through to completion.
There may also be opportunities for a mid-weight and a senior furniture designer to come onboard with remote working an option.
 
The role will also encompass:
  • Crafting visuals, hand sketches and renders for prospective and live projects. 
  • Presenting visuals / designs/ renders to a variety of audiences such as: Internal stakeholders, Workshops, Super Yacht Exterior Designers, Residential Interior Designers.
  • Liaising and working on design briefs and new ranges as well as attending sales meetings to draw initial sketches
  • Liaising with the Marketing Department to provide information for brochures and social media materials
Skills and Experience needed for the Head of Design:
  • Proficiency with CAD software and a strong interest in 2D and 3D design and renderings
  • Strong creative and artistic drawing ability
  • Knowledge and passion for bespoke furniture making
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to take full ownership of your work and responsibility for the details

Technical Draftsperson - Middlesex - negotiable (V03984)

This company designs and installs luxury interiors for the retail, hospitality, residential and commercial sectors and have a live vacancy for a technical draftsperson to produce shop drawings for their joinery & fit-out projects.
 
You will need to have several years of experience in creating manufacturing level drawings and cutting lists for complete bespoke items ranging from kitchens to jewellery showcases to staircases to reception desks to bathroom cabinets. You will need to understand how a whole array of materials can work together including timber, glass, metal, stone and plastic.
 
The main responsibility will be the setting out of fit-out projects, coordinating other trades into the master drawings. For example, does the air conditioning clash with the lighting? does the sprinkler clash with the joinery? Their clients provide the initial design drawings and the Technical Draftsperson will then redraw them to a fully detailed level for manufacture.
 
Experience and skillset needed for the Technical Draftsperson:
  • Experience on luxury fit-outs
  • Strong ability to produce detailed manufacturing drawings
  • Understanding of manufacturing and construction
  • Fluent on AutoCAD
  • Practical with good problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, able to liaise with individuals within the company and external to the company

This young and vibrant Interior Design Consultancy work with both private high-end residential and commercial clients, offering a bespoke service covering interior architecture, design, styling and furnishing. Increasingly busy with lots of exciting new projects starting they are looking for an additional Interior Designer to join their team.
Ideally they would prefer the role to initially be on a contract basis as it is for maternity cover but would consider permanent for the right candidate.
You will be helping to put schemes together with technical drawings, joinery packages, mood boards, CAD plans and layouts. You will also be liaising with suppliers, ordering, checking lists and assisting with surveys. This would suit an interior designer who is seeking a role with varied responsibilities with room to grow and take on their own projects. 
 
Skills and Experience for the Interior Designer:

They have created the new role of Sales Designer to be responsible for bringing in new business, both B2B and private customers. They have an extensive range of design choices to offer clients and they will provide training in technical drawing if needed. This is a mainly office-based role.
 
There is also an opportunity for a Technical Kitchen Designer which is a non-sales role to join the team.
 
Skills and experience for the Sales Designer role:
  • At least 2 years' proven sales track-record ideally within the KBB or Interiors marketplace
  • An efficient, professional communicator - both verbally and in the written form
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office

You will be responsible for the selling and designing of their premium kitchens, from initial design concepts, through to completion of sale, for both private and commercial clients. As a Kitchen Sales Designer, you will be creative, with an aptitude for kitchen design and strong customer service. 
 
They are open to either an experienced candidate or a more junior one although you will still need to have had some exposure to the marketplace. They provide quality training and the opportunity to develop and hone your skills.
