Sales Account Manager - Remote working - up to £35,000 (V03967)

This bespoke interior design practice over the last 12 years has flourished into a multi-million pound business with a reputation for great original ideas and design. They work for many major and high-end developers across the country, with their core business being forged in London.
 
This steady growth has up until now been without the need for advertising or a sales team, however in order to move forward further, they are seeking a dedicated Sales Account Manager. The main remit will be to secure new business from the mid-range market with national housebuilders and developers nationwide. They are also however increasingly working in the “dress to sell market” and on private residential, communal and leisure facilities.
 
They are ideally looking for someone already with a proven track record in sales within the interior design industry for this mainly field based role.
 
Requirements for the Sales Account Manager role:
  • Proven experience with selling to the interiors marketplace
  • A strong appreciation or past experience within design
  • Experienced in handling and presenting to clients
  • Organised and numerate with strong administrative skills for keeping records / diary entries
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills (oral, written and presentational)
  • Happy to travel nationwide but to visit their studio in the Midlands regularly
  • Able to operate self-sufficiently in a partly field based role

Salary will be negotiable with a bonus/commission structure, car/car allowance, mobile, laptop, pension and healthcare scheme.

Due to an increase in workload, they are currently looking for a passionate Furniture Designer, who will bring fresh ideas, imagination and a creative outlook to their range of domestic upholstery.
 
The Designer will be working closely with the directors, development department and production team whilst maintaining and developing their high-quality standard of products. You will be able to use your creative flair to design new products from research and concepts through to manufacture.
 
 
Skills and experience sought for the Furniture Designer:
 
  • Degree in Furniture Design, Product Design or similar
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • AutoCAD and the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Inventor and / or SolidWorks
  • Great understanding of materials and manufacturing processes

Technical Production Assistant - Props + Events - Essex - up to £28,000 (V03942)

This small family-run company specialise in Experiential Design, Production and Installation and are proud to count large brands and leading marketing agencies amongst their clients. Providing a range of services from exhibition stands, product launches and bespoke sampling stands to PR stunts, sampling bins and giant props, the company is theatrical in its approach and enjoys encouraging both clients and staff to be different.
 
Based near the Essex and Hertfordshire borders, they are currently looking for a Technical Production Assistant to support the Production Team. You will be creating CAD drawings, art working, proposals, pitch work and design costing. You will also be project managing smaller projects from brief through to delivery, ensuring successful realisation of projects adopting a hands-on approach to working in the production workshop.
 
Other duties for the Technical Production Assistant include:
  • Design interpretation, creating mood boards if required and basic visualisations
  • Performing practical tasks in the workshop such as prop making, finishing, vinyling, painting, sewing and basic carpentry
  • Creating CNC files and supervising CNC machining when required 
  • Assisting with the creation of content for social media posts and stories 
  • Assisting with the recruitment of new subcontractors, updating availability / task sheets and bookings
  • Liaising with suppliers  
 
Skills and experience needed for the Technical Production Assistant:
  • Experience of using a CAD software package, CNC and Adobe Illustrator
  • Good administration and project management skills
  • Able to demonstrate a hands-on approach at all times 
  • A team worker, highly organised and flexible in their approach
  • An understanding of the fast paced, ever-changing demands of high-end brands and clients 
  • Be health and safety compliant at all times 
  • Positive, sociable and adaptable

Due to continued and sustained growth they are looking to add an experienced Furniture Designer to their team. They can offer plenty of support and career development but you should be confident in taking on projects that often involve a fast turnaround from initial concept to design solution. Ideally they are seeking a Lead Designer level where you can head up a team on larger projects.
 
Main areas of responsibility for the Furniture Designer include:
  • Design development for Bars, Reception Counters, Wall Panelling, Feature Ceilings and Banquette Seating 
  • Researching and integrating components / fittings 
  • Generating clear and accurate approval and production drawings
  • Sketching out specific details, ideas and sections to present options for the construction of an item 
  • Researching the required materials taken from the finishes schedule
  • Daily use of the Company Management System (CMS) to reference and save information 
  • Booking and attending model reviews, following an item through into production
 
Skills and experience sought from the Furniture Designer:
  • 4+ years’ experience in producing detailed drawings of bespoke furniture for manufacture
  • SolidWorks proficient or similar
  • A strong understanding of furniture production methods and materials 
  • Able to generate accurate, detailed production drawings 
  • Able to work to timescales and deadlines

  • Taking a client brief and refining client requirements
  • Developing proposals to include: existing and proposed layouts; technical detailing, architectural finishes and visuals

  • Liaising with Developers and the Sales Team
  • Producing accurate designs and estimates for kitchen layouts 
  • Preparing completed designs / estimates into a tender presentation
  • Scaling from Architects' drawings supplied by the Developer
  • Establishing an installation budget and plan within contract guidelines 
  • Undertaking showroom tours as and when required
Skills and experience for the Contract Kitchen Designer:
  • Familiar with scaling from plans and designing kitchens
  • Fully proficient using a CAD system (they use ArtiCAD)
  • Possessing creativity and design flair to create a functional, attractive kitchen from scratch
  • Understanding of kitchen component parts would be advantageous
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, etc.) or similar
  • Working knowledge of SAP and Photoshop desirable but not essential
This role will be based in their Head-Office and they are looking for a Contract Kitchen Designer with a “can do” attitude and a friendly, sociable personality. In return you will be working Monday to Friday with no weekends as this is not a retail role and on top of your salary they have an employee benefits system and company pension contributions.

They currently have an opening for a Furniture Designer with excellent technical knowledge of furniture construction to join their design team.

They are seeking an individual who is a strong team player with a positive, can-do attitude. Knowledge and experience of VectorWorks is preferable but they will consider other similar CAD programmes. They are open to the level of experience and salary will therefore vary accordingly.

Main duties for the Furniture Designer include:

  • Supervising the design team to produce working drawings
  • Production of accurate working drawings
  • Production of design concept drawings to be used in the sales process
  • Managing and co-ordinating makers and subcontractors

Day-to-day responsibilities for the Operations Manager will be:

  • Leads and Opportunities - Management and allocation of leads and opportunities and the sales pipeline in general
  • Project Management - Managing client projects from sale through to final project completion. Making sure the projects are delivered smoothly and to the client’s satisfaction
  • Inventory and Stock Management - Ordering of materials and appliances as well as supplier management

Person and Experience needed for the Operation Manager role:
