This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic, engaging and presentable individual to join a fresh, exciting and ambitious new kitchen showroom in Central London.

With a fresh approach to sales and design, which is led not only by inspiring customers through their breadth of product, design ability and creativity, but importantly by the customer experience, they make full use of their inspirational design studio and interactive showroom.

You will have a passion for interior design and excited about providing customer satisfaction at all times. You will be the first point of contact for customers and therefore must be confident in approaching people in a measured, appropriate manner. You will be eager to introduce them to the kitchen displays and guide them to finding their perfect kitchen using your product knowledge and excellent communication skills. Your positive impression will lead to the customer then meeting the Kitchen Designers to complete the purchase.

Person / Experience Required:

  • Design qualifications
  • Exceptional customer service experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Well presented
  • Knowledgeable about standard PC use (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)

They are currently seeking a sales orientated individual who can network with both existing clients and identify and secure new business and agents. Ideally the role will be a mix of new business generating and account management.

They are a large team of passionate, committed professionals who excel in delivering a personable, yet professional service and are currently seeking a Design Account Manager to join the team and to cover the South East.

This role requires a strong, enthusiastic and experienced individual to build relationships proactively with both new and existing clients. This is a field-based, customer centric role, in which the ideal candidate will employ a consultative approach, using emotional intelligence, taking their listening and influencing skills to clients directly.

Regularly meeting with customers, you will be equally as comfortable communicating with them on a one to one basis as you would be delivering presentations to a group, whether taking a brief or introducing the company and services.


Person / Experience Required:

  • You will have come from property development, associated construction industry or interior product / design sales background
  • Sales project management experience
  • Commercially minded with a a good standard in literacy and numeracy
  • Good understanding of continuous improvement techniques and activities
  • Lead generation and business development skills
  • A genuine interest in Interior Design
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentational)
  • Able to operate self-sufficiently in a principally field based role
  • Organised, a planner, adept at prioritising and able to meet deadlines
  • Good computer literacy (specifically Excel)
  • Self-reliance whilst operating remotely for extended periods of time

Here at Careers in Design our specialism in design recruitment has allowed us to work with a large selection of clients handling a variety of roles both here and around the world, eager to be paired with suitable applicants from those who have registered with us.

Whilst the majority of vacancies posted here at Careers in Design are weighted towards the creative aspects of the design industry, we have a whole section of posts available for sales, admin and support positions in the same sector.

The nature of any given sales job will depend very much on the parent company and how it operates. With some, their products are designed with a mass market appeal, and the role of the sales team is to encourage wholesalers and retailers to purchase in bulk orders and often liaising with the supply chain on pricing policies.

With other companies, what you will be selling is the ability of their creative team. You will be there in the field, promoting the company as their ambassador, convincing other businesses that they should take your company on as designers for a given project. These meetings can be crucial for the success of your business because, while the minutiae of the deal will be thrashed out by a project or commercial manager the principles of the agreement are established by you and your team as a way of getting your collective feet in the door.

Successful applicants will be expected to be engaging and determined, ideally with a track record of success in the area of sales. They will need to demonstrate a knowledge of the design sector and to be able to pitch them convincingly to a third party. Despite not being part of the design team, knowledge of the design process will be an advantage.
