This is an exciting opportunity to join a flourishing Nottingham based company specialising in the design, manufacture and retail of furniture, lighting and interior accessories.

The company is offering a new interior design service throughout the UK - working directly with developers and builders to create show homes and furnish investment / rental units and are seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join the team and be responsible for this service.

This role requires an experienced, confident professional to design and dress interiors, manage clients and projects and seek new business opportunities. Additional duties may include the design and upkeep of the showroom(s) and planning, managing and styling photoshoots.

The ideal candidate will be university qualified with an art or design related degree. Professional Interior design experience is essential, preferably from a show home background. Excellent organisation, written and spoken English, numeracy, computer and customer facing skills are also required. Freelance / Part Time or Permanent work, depending on the applicant, can be offered.

Computer skills must include competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop. CAD and 3D modelling skills are desirable but not essential.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

We are a leading German Kitchen Supplier to both the London and Surrey areas and are looking for an enthusiastic designer to join the team at our Flagship Surbiton Branch. The candidate must live within a 10 mile radius of the showroom with a full driving licence as site visits are an integral part of our work. Use of their own vehicle however, although preferred, is not essential.

The candidate should have experience in designing kitchens using a CAD software package and ideally will have worked with a German kitchen manufacturer either currently or previously. You will be knowledgeable about a variety of worksurfaces, appliances and splashbacks and possess some interior design skills and flair as we are increasingly getting orders for living rooms, bedrooms and offices also.

They now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Bathroom Sales Designer to join their team in their stunning showroom in Surrey. Reporting directly to the owners you will be responsible for the smooth running of all aspects of the business. Customer service experience is a core aspect of the post and you will be greeting customers in the showroom as well as on site visits, and driving showroom sales.

Maintaining an awareness of current retail trends and developing relationships with suppliers and customers will be part of your remit and you will be working from customer enquiries, liaising with installers and managing projects from start to finish.

Person / Experience Required:

  • Excellent CAD skills, preferably Compusoft Winner
  • A passion for innovative and contemporary design together with attention to detail
  • A real people person with excellent communication skills and a good telephone manner
  • Previous experience in the mid-high end bathroom industry together with the installation process is needed
  • Flexible to work Saturdays, closed Sundays
  • Full UK driving licence with use of own car

The nature of any given sales job will depend very much on the parent company and how it operates. With some, their products are designed with a mass market appeal, and the role of the sales team is to encourage wholesalers and retailers to purchase in bulk orders and often liaising with the supply chain on pricing policies.

With other companies, what you will be selling is the ability of their creative team. You will be there in the field, promoting the company as their ambassador, convincing other businesses that they should take your company on as designers for a given project. These meetings can be crucial for the success of your business because, while the minutiae of the deal will be thrashed out by a project or commercial manager the principles of the agreement are established by you and your team as a way of getting your collective feet in the door.

Successful applicants will be expected to be engaging and determined, ideally with a track record of success in the area of sales. They will need to demonstrate a knowledge of the design sector and to be able to pitch them convincingly to a third party. Despite not being part of the design team, knowledge of the design process will be an advantage.
