Based in Somerset, our client are a renowned kitchen and appliance retailer with one of the most exciting showrooms and product collections in the country.

Due to continued growth and expansion, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Kitchen Designer with a proven track record in the industry. You will be working with some of the finest brands available, including SieMatic, Charles Yorke, Mackintosh, Aga, Miele, Siemens, Sub Zero, Gaggenau plus many others. The 12,000 square foot destination showroom is home to 27 kitchen settings and over 200 working appliances, all displayed over two floors.

As a Kitchen Designer, you must be a people person and able to demonstrate superb presentation and communication skills with a highly professional attitude. CAD fluency is important although full training with relevant software will be given.

The remuneration package on offer consists of a competitive salary plus uncapped commission.

This boutique design practice based near Bath creates elegant interiors for their clients that make everyday living comfortable, engaging and inspirational. They have a small team of creative designers who work with architects, contractors and suppliers to design, decorate and refurbish residential and commercial properties. They are currently looking to recruit an Interior Designer (V03060) to work with the senior design team to conceptualise, design and deliver sophisticated interiors.

You will be involved in creative design projects, as part of a flexible team or independently, translating design concepts into detailed working drawings and supporting documentation. You’ll need to effectively communicate detail design in CAD, presentation and written formats, liaise with consultants, contractors, suppliers and project teams and accompany senior design team members to presentations with clients.

As a skilled interior designer (with a degree in furniture, product or interior design) and 3-5 years’ of experience, creative flair, excellent technical skills, attention to detail and the ability to see a project through from conception to implementation you will also need to be highly proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop, 3D CAD (preferably SketchUp) and Excel with good hand drawing skills an advantage. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and good knowledge of FF&E with the ability to manage budgets and projects, understand the design process.

Senior Interior Designer, Oxfordshire

Our client is an expanding creative design and build company specialising in the commercial food and beverages sector including bars, restaurants and cafés. Their client base is varied including the business and industry sector, education, leisure and retail clients. Due to an ever increasing level of projects being won they seek an experienced Senior Interior Designer who can manage their own projects and help manage others in the team.

With a proactive and enthusiastic personality, you will understand what it takes to produce great design solutions, with an ability to be inventive, demonstrate creative thinking, show awareness of the market trends and understand branding.

They are looking for someone with a minimum of five years’ experience of interior design projects including significant experience in hospitality design and fluent in AutoCAD or Vectorworks (Photoshop, SketchUp and/or InDesign would also be useful). You should have good sketching and visualisation ability, excellent design and spatial planning skills, strong technical skills, understanding of materials and suppliers, co-ordination and development of FF&E schemes. Commercially aware, you’ll need an understanding of the catering design process relative to delivery of an operation type and proven communication skills as the job involves liaising with clients, contractors, suppliers and local authorities.
