Based in Surrey, the interior design division’s business is growing and so they are seeking an interior designer who has a particular expertise with soft furnishings and decor. They often work alongside Architects on projects, so the architectural elements of the interior design projects will be handled by them, although the designer will still be responsible for all aspects of spatial design and CAD drawings. This role requires someone who is able to complete all aspects of design from concept to completion to an extremely high standard on some of the most prestigious residential properties in the UK. You will be required to manage excel spreadsheets, detailing and tracking relevant orders/Information specific to multiple projects. As well as procuring and monitoring items necessary to those projects.

You will need to have excellent communication skills as well as innovative design capabilities – with a good knowledge of the London market and qualified in Interior Design. With 3-5+ years’ experience you will also need good administrative skills, be AutoCAD literate and have good presentation skills, able to liaise with clients.

They are currently nearing completion on a very large residential refurbishment project in Hampstead that requires site administration of furnishings and snagging. There are also some new projects at the planning stage which includes a 38 apartment hotel. The Principal Designer is seeking an organised individual to take on the responsibility of all the soft furnishings and fabrics and assist with administration. This will involve sourcing and collating samples, scheduling, listing and handling suppliers and coordinating deliveries. They prefer candidates who can work on a self-employed basis.

You will need at least 4 years’ experience working with an interior decorator on residential projects and have experience of dealing with suppliers. The Kitchen Designer will be meeting clients both in the showroom and at home, producing designs for presentation and initial estimates. After closing the sale you will then hand over to the Production Manager but still remain Clients No.1 point of contact throughout project. With experience already gained in the kitchen design you should be well presented, articulate and a good listener.
