Known for creative design and pioneering craftsmanship, this company combines traditional hand skills with advanced materials and technology to create award-winning furniture for yachts and houses of ultra-high net worth individuals throughout the world.

This ambitious company is growing to meet the worldwide demand for its luxury furniture. With state of the art in-house production facilities and a creative and technical studio they are seeking to fill two roles:

1. Furniture Design Engineer
The successful candidate will take inspiring design concepts and using CAD software turn the designs into a set of engineering drawings for in-house manufacture including CNC, laser work, hand making, leatherwork and finishing as well as outsourced parts made by external sub-contractors. Also preparing a bill of materials to be sourced and ordered by purchasing.

2. Project Manager
The successful candidate will manage the engineers within the team and oversee project management and delivery of a projects from concept design to handover of iconic yacht and residential projects worldwide.

Person / Experience Required:

Furniture Design Engineer

  • At least 5 years' bespoke furniture making and construction at a luxury level
  • Fluency in both 2D and 3D CAD software with Rhino being an advantage
  • Ability to work to budgets for completion of engineering drawings
  • Ability to travel and be competent at taking on-site measurements.

Project Manager

  • Ability to manage furniture projects to a value in excess of  £1m from design concept through to client handover
  • Ability to plan and schedule with your team to exceed client's expectations
  • At least 5 years' bespoke furniture making and construction at a luxury level
  • Proven experience of 2D CAD software skills with 3D Rhino an advantage
  • Excellent leadership, management, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work and travel worldwide outside normal working hours when required

The company offers:

  • Salary of £30k-£38k for the Design Engineers
  • Salary of £38k-£52k for the Project Managers
  • Share of discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance

This long-established leader in interior design for show homes, hotels and private clients is recognised as a Bronze Award Winner, Investor in People and are a lively team with varied and interesting work. The designers have full project responsibility from start to finish, yielding a high level of job satisfaction. Pay and conditions are good and include an element of bonus based upon both company trading results and individual performance.

As an Interior Designer / Project Manager you will be working mainly on their hotel and private residential clients' projects, working with the team, liaising with clients and mentoring trainees.

Person / Experience Required:

  • Degree qualified or equivalent
  • Commercially aware with sufficient numeracy skills to understand budget aspects, costings, margins and pricing
  • Demonstrable understanding of current trends in design within the hotel sector
  • Use of English to a standard that enables effective verbal and written communication with clients and others
  • Competent user of CAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint
  • Previous experience of EstiPC would be an advantage
  • Confident and assertive when presenting or communicating with clients
  • Cooperative, respectful and helpful with clients, suppliers, colleagues and others
  • Clean UK Driving Licence

This young, dynamic and rapidly growing company is an office furniture distributor and agent for a number of European brands and are seeking a Designer to work with interior designers and high profile clients in London to deliver projects and maintain key accounts.

This role is ideally suited to an interior designer / industrial designer with project management experience and in return they offer scope for career progression and the chance to lead on design focused specialised projects with a high degree of new product development and customisation.

Person / Experience Required:

  • Experience in the commercial furniture, partitioning or workplace interior design industry
  • Able to use CAD and SketchUp for issuing drawings and product design
  • Confident in presenting and selling creative ideas, conducting and attending client meetings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as strong presentation skills
  • Possess the technical ability to anticipate and resolve design issues
  • Ability to manage and lead the project / installation team
