This Architectural and Interior Design Practice specialises within the residential marketplace with a full D&B offering including architectural services alongside interior design and their own dedicated showroom for furniture, furnishings, accessories and tiling.

They are currently looking to recruit both an Interior Architect and an Interior Designer to work on a variety of residential projects in and around the Knightsbridge, Chelsea and Fulham areas as well as the Rickmansworth and Northwood areas.

Interior Architect:

• 5 to 7 years (for a Midweight) or 10+ years of experience (for a Senior level)
• Proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp, ideally also with Revit
• Highly proficient in the use of Excel & PowerPoint
• Experienced in designing spatial and furniture layouts, lighting and electrical designs, kitchen and bathroom designs, wardrobes and joinery designs, tiling designs
• Clean UK Driving Licence as needs to be able to readily visit project sites for taking measurements, liaising with project managers, contractors and subcontractors

Interior Designer:

• 5 to 7 years (for a Midweight level) or 10+ years of experience (for a Senior level)
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, InDesign and the Adobe Creative Cloud suite
• Highly proficient in the use of Excel & PowerPoint
• FF&E background on high-end residential including comprehensive product knowledge of European suppliers of furniture, fabrics, wallpaper etc.
• Clean UK Driving Licence as needs to be able to readily visit project sites for taking measurements, liaising with project managers, contractors and subcontractors

Salary will be dependent upon experience (£35k to £45k) with an end of year discretionary performance related bonus, 23 days holiday + bank holidays, staff discount scheme and company pension scheme. This creative and vibrant Interior Design and Architectural Studio work with both private high-end residential and commercial clients, offering a bespoke service covering interior architecture, design, styling and furnishing.

Increasingly busy with lots of exciting new projects starting they are looking for a new mid-weight to senior Interior Designer to join their team and work on projects from concept to completion.

Main Duties include:

• Managing projects independently or as part of a team.
• Preparation of detailed and accurate drawings, designs, plans and schemes.
• Taking responsibility for multiple projects from concept through to installation and styling.
• Producing accurate schedules for manufacturers.
• Sourcing and specifying products in line with set client budgets.
• Producing comprehensive and professional branded mood boards for presentations to clients.
• Liaising with clients and managing on-site installation.

Skills and Experience expected from the Interior Designer:

• Strong technical drawing skills using VectorWorks with experience of EstiMac an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite for Mac.
• Experience of running large-scale projects in the high-end residential sector.
• Excellent communication skills, both written, verbal and visual. The job will involve dealing with clients or suppliers, either in person or over the telephone. The ability to visualise concepts and communicate them to others is also important.
• A great eye for design and colour, with good 3D and spatial awareness.
• Ability to create and develop conceptual designs that would seamlessly integrate with their portfolio including the skill of using colour and texture with great attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of FF&E suppliers

With offices internationally, their London office are currently looking for both a midweight and a senior FF&E Interior Designers to join their very busy team.

In addition to the expected responsibilities of an FF&E Designer, the Senior FF&E Designer will provide strong project leadership, with exceptional communication throughout and encourage and promote team spirit and motivation. You will also be overseeing and supporting other designers in the Team. Their large purpose-built manufacturing complex is home to traditional cabinet making, veneering, carving and gilding skills, complemented by modern design, manufacturing and finishing techniques. They are seeking a full time, experienced Design Engineer and also a Furniture Draughtsperson. For both roles they are looking for individuals who are able to draw on their experience in the furniture and joinery industry to support and steer the design and technical phases of projects and to engineer work which is fit for manufacture, assembly and installation. The distinction between the roles being that the Draughtsperson will be mainly producing the technical drawings and the Design Engineer will be working with the draughting team to review and refine design intent and engineer for efficient manufacture.

Skills and Experience sought for the Furniture Design Engineer and Draughtsperson roles:

• Excellent communication skills in order to capably discuss and establish design principles from a client’s brief
• A good working knowledge of furniture and joinery constructional methods, and manufacturing processes

Skills and Experience needed from the Design Draughtsperson:

• Ideally combined experience as a cabinetmaker and then draughtsperson within the bespoke furniture industry
• Proficient in 2D AutoCAD and Rhino 3D (or other 3D Software)
• Experience in Inventor would also be helpful
• A working knowledge of traditional and contemporary construction processes
• Able to produce highly detailed technical drawings for production
• Self-motivated with strong organisational skills and a methodical approach to prioritising and organising work

Our client specialises in Experiential Design, Production and Installation and are proud to count large brands and leading marketing agencies amongst their clients.

Their Production Team works both in the production workshop and onsite as directed by Workshop Manager. They are currently seeking an individual who can support in all aspects of production build, general workshop responsibilities and on-site work as required. This role also acts as an Assistant to the Workshop Manager.

This is a hands-on role with tasks which includes prop making, CAD drawing, carpentry, metalworking, spray painting, scenic finishes, paint management, general production build, CAD interpretation, CNC & Laser cutter operation, vinyling, installation crewing, lead carpenter, sanding, filling & finishing.

The role includes development of practical skills including scenic, LX, sound & electronics and working in line with the Company sustainability policy, ensuring minimising wastage and organising off cuts of production material for use on subsequent jobs. Health & Safety compliance is essential as is quality control for all projects.

This position is based on a 42.5 hour week with a salary of £28k to £35k dependent on experience and skill level plus BUPA Medical & EATP and Pension.

• Ability to perform practical tasks in the workshop
• Strong carpentry and construction skills, ideally to include set build and props
• Knowledge of paint & materials for scenic painting
