Our client develops pieces for an innovative and pioneering gallery of original and unique contemporary furniture design and products. Renowned for the work it creates they are seeking a highly motivated Production Assistant with technical knowledge of furniture construction, materials, and production methods to provide support to their Production team.

Duties will include:

  • Sourcing new suppliers and manufacturers
  • Carrying out condition and quality control checks and creating quotations, purchase orders and invoices
  • Liaising with suppliers, workshops and artists
  • Assisting with the gallery’s exhibition and fair planning / installations
  • Generating renders and visuals for the gallery sales team


Skills and experience sought for the Production Assistant:

  • Ability to use MS Office, Adobe CS, Rhino 3D and Keyshot
  • Knowledge of a variety of materials and production processes such as bronze, wood, steel, resin & decorative finishes
  • Strong planning, organisational & multitasking skills to manage your own deliverables to meet the team's goals
  • Experience in the production of luxury, bespoke and limited ranges of sculptural / artistic furniture, lighting, and accessories
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality

Interior Designer - Hybrid - Essex - up to £40,000 (V04208)

Renowned for providing luxurious, safe and comfortable environments, our client is looking for an Interior Designer to join their team and help enhance the living spaces within their care homes. It is a 12-month maternity cover role with the potential to become permanent.

As the Interior Designer you will be working on both new-build and refurbishment projects, liaising directly with suppliers, team members, consultants and contractors to coordinate requirements. They currently have 23 homes with more in the pipeline.

Responsibilities for the Interior Designer will include:

  • Scheduling meetings with team members and creating design documents for implementation
  • Consulting with the Care Home about their needs in order to create a design solution that meets their goals within budget constraints
  • Creating conceptual sketches and other illustrations to communicate design concepts and then developing the concepts
  • Ensuring all specifications are compliant
  • Working with the Architect, Technical Manager and site team to ensure capture of design requirements
  • Travelling to sites around the UK, including new builds and existing homes


Skills and Experience expected from the Interior Designer:

  • 5+ years’ experience to include at least 2+ years in the UK
  • Knowledge of interiors within the luxury end of the marketplace, ideally residential / hotels or care homes
  • VectorWorks (or similar) proficiency and Adobe CS
  • Site experience with the confidence to manage site meetings and make quick decisions if required
  • Strong Interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

Assistant Workshop Manager - Essex - up to £35,000 (V04207)

Our client specialises in Experiential Design, Production and Installation and are proud to count large brands and leading marketing agencies amongst their clients. Their range of services cover everything from exhibition stands, product launches and bespoke sampling stands to PR stunts, sampling bins and giant props.

Based near the borders of Essex and Hertfordshire, within easy reach of London, they currently have a vacancy to work within their production team. As Assistant Workshop Manager your main responsibility will be to support in all aspects of production build, general workshop responsibilities and on-site work as required. This is a hands-on role with tasks which could include: prop making, CAD drawing, carpentry, metalworking, head rigger, spray painting, scenic finishes, paint management, general production build, CAD interpretation, CNC & Laser cutter operation, vinyling, installation crewing, lead carpenter, sanding, filling & finishing.

The role includes development of practical skills including scenic, LX, sound and electronics and working in line with the Company sustainability policy, ensuring minimising wastage and organising off cuts of production material for use on subsequent jobs. Health & Safety compliance is essential as is quality control for all projects.


Skills and Experience needed from the Assistant Workshop Manager:

  • Carpentry & construction to include set build and props, scenic and paint knowledge, spray painting, fibreglassing and sewing
  • Good time keeping and communication skills, and be able to work with an adaptable, flexible and accommodating attitude
  • Proactive with an enthusiastic, self-motivated and positive disposition and must be able to work well as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills along with the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Driving licence

Our client is a highly regarded Cabinet Maker who are currently recruiting for a Senior Estimator to join the team to produce quotations and cost estimates.

They design, manufacture and install bespoke interiors for the luxury high-end residential market both in the UK and overseas and are looking for candidates that have a detailed understanding of luxury bespoke cabinet making. This should include the many and various finishes and specialist skills that are common to the luxury end of the marketplace.

Main responsibilities for the Estimator include to:

  • Be the initial point of contact for estimating enquiries, assessing size of project, technicality and suitability for the company
  • Set-up quote sheets and price items, arrange project review meetings
  • Create project timelines 
  • Ensure work is planned accurately and on a weekly basis into the Estimating schedule
  • Attend weekly sales meetings and mid-tender interviews

Other skills and experience needed from the Estimator:

  • IT literate with knowledge of CAD software and ability to read and understand drawings
  • Excellent external and internal communication skills, a team player

Lighting Designer:-

  • 4+ years’ experience within the lighting design industry with a consultancy rather than a manufacturer

  • Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat with great presentation skills
  • AutoCAD literate with Dialux and Relux or equivalent

Architectural Designer:-

  • 2+ years’ experience within architecture or the interiors sector

  • Experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop to create presentations
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, able to create plans, elevations and detail drawings
