Senior Interior Designer - Warwickshire - up to £50,000 (V04017)

Our client designs imaginative hospitality environments for major brands and F&B chains. Behind each winning project is a close-knit team of highly skilled and motivated individuals and they have recently created a new position to specifically work with one of their major clients.
 
Key responsibilities for the Senior Interior Designer:
  • Managing a team of Designers working on the client’s new stores
  • Responsible for the production of and consistency of the schematic / feasibility layouts and full drawing packs
  • Responsible for keeping up to date with the client’s manual & design developments
  • Liaising with the supply chain for design development, procurement, quotes, stock etc.
  • Creative ideas for new concepts and evolution of design development
  • Project Management and workload planning
 
Skills and experience required for the Senior Interior Designer:
  • Experience working in a similar supervisory Interior Design role
  • Experience of designing projects in the hospitality sector
  • Able to liaise with clients, contractors and multiple stakeholders
  • Conversant with Microsoft Office, Adobe CS, AutoCAD and SketchUp
  • An understanding of the whole design process from brief to completion
  • Ability to provide creative solutions whilst also meeting technical requirements
  • Good project management ability
  • Strong analytical planning and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal skills, a clear and confident communicator
In return the salary on offer is between £40k to £50k with some hybrid working opportunities. There is also Perkbox membership and a Pension scheme. They have a car park and the office can also be reached by public transport.

Head of Design - West Midlands - up to £50,000 (V04016)

This award-winning interior design studio specialises within the residential marketplace tailoring the design and service around their clients' needs. They have built up over many years a trusted network of partners to create tailor-made joinery, upholstery, artwork and soft furnishings. They are also able to offer CGI imagery, styling and a full installation and fit-out service.
 
They are currently looking to fill the role of Head of Design which will encompass both residential and commercial projects. You will be responsible for both the in-house designers and the freelance designers which form their design team, ensuring all design schemes meet the company standards and profit goals, as well as ensuring the design department runs smoothly and efficiently.
 
Main responsibilities for the Head of Design include:
  • Overseeing the design of all showhome projects
  • Project leading on all commercial projects
  • Project managing special projects
  • Overseeing allocation of projects
  • Acting as an overall inspirational figure to the design team alongside the Lead Creative
  • Attending client presentations and site installations / critiques where required
  • Attending heads of department meetings to discuss and implement ideas for improvements to the design department
Skills and experience needed for the Head of Design:
  • Ideally 8+ years' relevant experience
  • A positive and can-do attitude to all elements of the role
  • An approachable and supportive management style, leading by example
  • A creative approach to design work - pushing boundaries & continual improvement 
  • A strong sense of initiative, proactiveness and accountability 
  • Conversant with the Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
As the Head Office based in the Midlands, the ideal candidate would be living within a 1 hour commuting time as you would be expected to be in office at least 2/3 days per week. You will be provided with a laptop and mobile phone and the salary on offer will be between £45k and £50k.

Design Manager - Remote working - up to £42,000 (V04015)

This growing business helps major names create, shape, plan and implement their brands and corporate / visual identities around the world. They work across multiple different sectors, including Retail, Automotive, Banking, Healthcare, Transportation and Corporate Office / Workplace.
 
The Design Manager role is to work directly with a luxury automotive client to support them with creating and developing their corporate and visual identity standards across their wider businesses, providing them with deliverable design solutions. They offer flexible working arrangements either hybrid or remote.
Key Responsibilities for the Design Manager (CI):
  • Responsible for the quality of the Corporate and Visual Identity guidelines and how they are applied across all projects within their portfolio
  • Providing architectural guidance so that all projects comply with their Corporate and Visual Identity guidelines
  • Providing recommendations on architectural drawings and design schemes
  • Supporting the development of any updates to their Corporate and Visual Identity manual
  • Support and guidance on the design intent pack process and managing the approvals process
  • Developing and maintaining a tracking system for the projects and drawings reviewed
  • Liaising with key regional and market stakeholders
  • Managing compliance of facility plans, advising globally and locally where appropriate
  • Ensuring collation of high-resolution photographs for each completed facility
  • Responsible for the quality of all design outputs created by the inhouse design team, including as is / as built survey designs, format & space planning, layouts, materials and location schedules for all work-stream activity
  • Leading the communications between the client requirements and the design teams
Skills and Experience required for the Design Manager (CI):
  • Client-focussed with excellent client management skills
  • Experience already gained managing clients and in a similar commercial interiors marketplace
  • Fully proficient in design software, such as 2D AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, SketchUp
  • Flexible in approach and willing to travel, including outside of the UK as required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills, focused and the ability to multi-task, prioritise projects and meet deadlines in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment
  • Experience in 3D Studio Max, Revit and Adobe Illustrator would be desirable

Technical Interior Designer - West Yorkshire - up to £25,000 (V04014)

The role of Junior Designer & Space Planner is to work within their in-house design team supporting a wide variety of different clients by helping to provide them with deliverable design solutions by applying their brand and visual identity standards across their network of facilities. The role is UK based, with the opportunity of hybrid working from their offices in West Yorkshire and from home should this be preferred.
 
Key Responsibilities for the Designer & Space Planner:
  • Creating space / floor plans, elevations and sections in AutoCAD from design intent through to feasibility and construction phases
  • Interpreting visual identity / corporate identity guidelines and applying the design principles consistently across all of the projects that you are involved with
  • Creating photo overlays to convey the detail requirements of a design proposal
  • Presenting schemes for review and checking the design parameters
  • Making suggestions as to how to improve designs to create the right solutions for the space
 
Skills and Experience required for the Designer & Space Planner:
  • Proficient in 2D AutoCAD, Photoshop and InDesign
  • Able to understand and interpret a customer journey
  • Excellent organisational skills plus the ability to multi-task and prioritise projects to meet deadlines
  • Some experience already gained in commercial space planning
 
In return you will have the chance to work with some major brands and as a global business with offices around the world, there could be future opportunities to work abroad.
 
Salary will be between £23k to £25k (although they may also be looking for a more experienced Designer as well which would naturally be on a higher salary), plus 25 days holiday + bank holidays, contributory pension, Mental Health Support Service and free onsite parking.

This vibrant design and build company create and fit out bespoke high-impact office interiors and seek both a Technical Interior Designer and a Junior Interior Designer to strengthen their team and work on the new projects that they are winning.
 
The roles will have a wide variety of responsibilities with the Technical Interior Designer taking projects from design brief and concept through to realisation of the design and drawing packages and on to installation. The Junior Interior Designer will be working as part of the team assisting at all stages of the project cycle.
 
 
Skills and Experience needed for the Interior Designer:
  • Have the technical knowledge of how to realise a concept design
  • Commercial workplace design experience (1+ year for the junior and 3+ years for the technical designer)
  • Good hand-drawing and sketching skills would be useful
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and the ability to carry out site surveys
  • Knowledge of 3D modelling software would be an advantage
