Kitchen Design Sales Manager - London - up to £60,000 (V03944)

Our client is a leading artisan in professional home kitchens. They create handcrafted pieces in their renowned sleek industrial style, showing sophisticated mechanisms and the experience of premium restaurant cooking.
 
Their clients are mainly commercial, Architects, Interior Designers, Joinery Manufacturers and Developers and are from all over the UK and Ireland.
 
They have a newly created role that they are looking to fill and it would particularly suit a commercially minded individual who understands the kitchen sector. Your remit will be to oversee all commercial aspects and the logistics of the orders. It will start with taking the brief and carrying out a site survey, drawing up the plan and handing over the design to Head Office. You will then be directing and managing the sale and project to installation.
 
Although the role will be based in the Showroom you will be required from time to time to carry out site visits as well as nurturing business relationships and future business, also talking to B2B partners and being the “face” of the company for the UK.
 
Skills and experienced needed for the Commercial Manager & Sales Manager role:
  • Solid experience gained from the luxury kitchen marketplace
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Good understanding of the sales process and confident in selling to clients
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Professional and smart in appearance
  • Proactive, self-motivated and organised
  • Italian speaker preferred

Skills and Experience needed for the Sales Consultant:
  • A minimum of 5 years' proven experience in designing and selling within the luxury interiors sector 
  • CAD literate
  • Happy and able to be mobile with your own presentable car to visit clients
  • You should be well-presented to generate a first impression creating confidence with their discerning clients
  • Able to manage your own diary and arrange client visits

They are currently seeking a Sales Designer for their showroom in Cheshire. In this role you will need to demonstrate a flair for creative solutions with both design and practicality in mind. You will need to have a fine eye and attention to detail and be extremely thorough in the design and delivery of your projects. 
 
They use a wide variety of materials and design styles to meet the clients brief and work in both modern and period houses. It will therefore be important that you have a good understanding of historical furniture, period detailing, joinery design and construction so your schemes work in harmony with the architecture of the building.
The working week will be Monday to Friday and Saturday by appointment.
 
Skills and Experience needed for the Sales Designer: 
  • A knowledge of timber, wood veneers and finishes, cabinet making and joinery construction methods 
  • Minimum 5 years' kitchen design experience 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Proficient Microsoft Office user

Our client is passionate about beautiful bathrooms and offer a carefully curated collection of bathroom furnishings and finishes. They sell products via their website, over the phone or by email. The items sold are a mixture of in-stock items and items that are made-to-order through a trusted network of craftsman and suppliers.

Due to the volume of sales and the growth of the business they are now looking for a senior manager to take over duties from the founder in managing the business processes and people for delivering customer orders; from the initial point of client contact through ordering and to final delivery and after sales care.

It is a full-time role and will require the successful candidate to work from the Head Office with appropriate Covid related protections. There will be some flexibility for home working and the possibility of a 4-day week for the right candidate.

Overall Responsibilities for the Business Manager:

You will be required to manage a team of 3 people which includes hiring, structuring and training more people as the company continues to grow over the next few years. Your priorities will sit equally in sales (providing clear information to customers and staff when dealing with customers) and in operations (all the processes that happen behind the scenes for the smooth ordering and delivery of products to customers). This role is all about managing people and processes and ensuring the business operates smoothly and will best suit someone who gets a lot of enjoyment and satisfaction from setting up and managing IT systems, data and processes.

Skills and Experience Required for the Business Manager:

  • People Management experience
  • Driven with high standards for quality and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service ethos and manner and ability to handle high-end clients with high expectations
  • Positive attitude, calm demeanour and not easily flustered
  • Previous experience managing business processes and teams in order to deliver a product or service to customers

General Employment Terms:

  • Full-time and permanent, there is some capacity to work from home and/or a 4-day week
  • Salary range £50k to £60k pa
  • Statutory 28 days paid annual leave each year plus when the office is closed between Christmas and New Year
