Junior Designer - London - up to £25,000 (V03841)

Our client is looking for a creative and enthusiastic designer to join their talented London team and work across a diverse range of design projects that include gifts, accessories, charity items and packaging.

They are a global leader in designing, producing and supplying product to clients from the FMCG, drinks trade, health and beauty and charity markets, specialising in point-of-sale, gift with purchase products and retail packaging.

The Role will entail:

  • Creating innovative gift products and packaging ideas for a wide range of brands
  • Creating trend lead illustrations and artwork
  • Creating design visuals and building presentations
  • Researching trends, markets, understanding brands and brainstorming ideas
  • Supporting the design team in preparing artwork and design specifications

Person / Experience Required:

  • 1+ year of professional experience within the design industry
  • A relevant degree within graphic or product design
  • Creative thinker keen to engage in many different areas of design
  • Enthusiastic and eager to learn new skills
  • An eye for creating attractive visuals, illustrations and presentations
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • A good awareness of different manufacturing and print techniques
  • Experience with 3D design programs would be a bonus (Rhino 3D and KeyShot preferred)

This company has a portfolio of renowned brands and a passion for fine furniture. They create everything from traditional to cutting-edge contemporary, handcrafted furniture that address all scales of rooms and developments.

With the injection of new investment they are opening a new showroom this autumn in a multi-purpose building alongside other luxury brands, a hospitality suite and events space. This large new showroom is backed up by a new factory and a relaunch of their brand.

For this venue they have openings left for a Senior Kitchen Designer and two Trainee Kitchen Sales Designers who will be client facing and involved in both sales and the design. They are seeking candidates who have strong sales ability with the drive to succeed.

Skills and attributes required for the trainee role:

  • Professional and well-presented
  • Sales-orientated and self-motivated
  • Target driven 
  • Ideally already a designer although training will be given
  • Excellent communication with top customer-service skills
  • Confident and able to hold their own

Junior Furniture Designer - Hertfordshire - up to £26,000 (V03795)

This company specialise in producing high-end bespoke furniture and joinery from concept through to design, manufacture and installation, covering a wide variety of projects both domestic and commercial as well as one-off commissions.

With a busy workload they are looking for a technically minded Junior Furniture Designer who can produce detailed working drawings based upon the concepts of architects and interior designers. In essence to make their clients' ideas a reality.

The Junior Furniture Designer will also be:

  • Issuing clear and concise technical drawings for their in-house manufacturing team.
  • Liaising with Project Managers and other members of the team to meet internal and external deadlines.
  • Producing schedules and cutting lists.

Experience and Skills required for the Junior Furniture Designer:

  • A sound knowledge of the furniture and joinery manufacturing industry.
  • Good working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • The ability to extract components from AutoCAD drawings for CNC machining would be a distinct advantage.
  • You should have a keen eye for detail, be self-motivated and have good written and verbal communication skills.
