Kitchen Sales Designer - London - up to £35,000 (V03970)

An enthusiastic Kitchen Sales Designer is needed to join this kitchen business in their large centrally based showroom.
 
You will be responsible for the selling and designing of their premium kitchens, from initial design concepts, through to completion of sale, for both private and commercial clients. As a Kitchen Sales Designer, you will be creative, with an aptitude for kitchen design and strong customer service. 
 
They are open to either an experienced candidate or a more junior one although you will still need to have had some exposure to the marketplace. They provide quality training and the opportunity to develop and hone your skills.
 
Skills and experienced required for the Kitchen Sales Designer role:
  • Personable and a great communicator
  • Ideally with previous kitchen design and sales experience from the upper end of the marketplace
  • Ability to liaise with consumers, trade and commercial clients on a daily basis
  • Strong design ability with knowledge of CAD software
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Self-motivated and a team player

This leading manufacturer of domestic upholstered furniture supply unbranded products to many of the UK’s leading High Street and National retailers. Due to an increase in workload, they are currently looking for a passionate Furniture Designer, who will bring fresh ideas, imagination and a creative outlook to their range of domestic upholstery.
 
The Designer will be working closely with the directors, development department and production team whilst maintaining and developing their high-quality standard of products. You will be able to use your creative flair to design new products from research and concepts through to manufacture.
 
 
Skills and experience sought for the Furniture Designer:
 
  • Degree in Furniture Design, Product Design or similar
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • AutoCAD and the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Inventor and / or SolidWorks
  • Great understanding of materials and manufacturing processes
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Well-presented and confident in customer meetings

Junior Catering Designer - Northamptonshire - up to £22,000 (V03966)

This creative Design & Build consultancy works within the food & beverage, hospitality and leisure industry. The services they provide include interior design and brand development, catering equipment design, build and interior fit out, equipment supply and installation and project management.
 
A position has arisen for a full time, permanent commercial kitchen / catering designer. This would suit either a recent graduate or someone with 1-2 years’ experience of working in a technical design role.
 
The role will be varied and involve supporting the wider team to complete various aspects of a project. You will be designing and specifying kitchen and bar spaces / equipment, carrying out the production of drawings and schedules, producing costs and reports, creating visuals and presentation documents.
 
 
Previous experience is not a requirement as full training will be given, however, the Junior Catering Designer should have following skills and background:
 
  • A positive professional and proactive approach
  • A relevant degree or similar higher qualification
  • Technically minded with creative problem-solving skills
  • Well-organised with good timekeeping
  • Experience of CAD drawing software (AutoCAD or VectorWorks preferable)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills are essential
 
Remuneration Package:
  • A starting salary depending on experience, for a recent graduate £20k to £22k
  • 20 days' annual, increasing annually to a maximum of 25 days
  • On successful completion of a probation period, you will be included into the company private medical and pension schemes

Product Designer - Cheshire - up to £27,000 (V03917)

Our client specialises in playground equipment and manufactures in-house, supplying a broad spectrum of clients including landscape architects, play companies and Councils. You will find their products in public parks, offices, private houses and destination locations all around the world.

They are currently looking for a creative Product Designer with a good technical ability and working knowledge of SolidWorks to join their team and contribute high quality, innovative designs. They are open to either a recent graduate with some industrial experience or a " 2nd jobber", someone who can work on their own initiative and develop within this role. They are based near a main station with good transport links.

Key roles and responsibilities for the Product Designer include:

  • Project management, working with the support of the team
  • Employing strong modelling skills, production of technical drawings for manufacture and renders for presentations
  • Developing bespoke product designs that can be manufactured efficiently and cost effectively
  • Modifications to the existing standard product range
  • Ensuring efficient and timely completion of projects, anticipating issues and proactively working to resolve them
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers on a daily basis both in person and by telephone / email
  • Being involved in costings and ordering

Skills and Experience needed for the Product Designer role:

  • Conversant with SolidWorks
  • Product Design degree or similar
  • Experience of manufacturing processes for sheet metal and wood
  • Strong modelling and technical skills
  • Adobe Creative Suite with AutoCAD being an advantage
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail orientated and numerate
