Bathroom Studio Design was established specifically to rewrite the delivery of luxury bathroom and wet-room solutions, operating the highest quality Design Centre and incorporating the latest technology to the mid-higher demographic consumer market. Description/Typical Responsibilities for the Bathroom Designer:

This role requires you to deliver both CAD design and varied creative marketing, including overseeing websites and social media and general administrative support. You will be front-of-house, dealing with clients and suppliers on a regular basis and taking customer enquiries, therefore excellent communication skills and an outgoing bubbly personality are essential.

Skills Required for the Bathroom Designer:

  • Good knowledge and experience of Photoshop or similar
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Virtual Worlds 3D interior design software
  • Experience (medium to expert) of all Microsoft Office packages
  • Excellent administrative skills with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Well spoken, smart and professional appearance
  • Good all-rounder, hands-on person
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Minimum of five GSCEs (A to C grades including Maths and English) plus the ability to demonstrate excellent English and Maths skills
  • No experience necessary if a graduate
  • High-end retail experience a bonus
  • Driving Licence required

Product Designer - Cheshire - up to £25,000 (V03896)

Our client specialises in playground equipment and manufactures in-house, supplying a broad spectrum of clients including landscape architects, play companies and Councils. You will find their products in public parks, offices, private houses and destination locations all around the world.

They are currently looking for a creative Product Designer with a good technical ability and working knowledge of SolidWorks to join their team and contribute high quality, innovative designs. They need a versatile candidate who can work on their own initiative and develop in this role. They are based near a main station with good transport links.

Key roles and responsibilities for the Product Designer include:

  • Project management, working with the support of the team
  • Employing strong modelling skills, production of technical drawings for manufacture and renders for presentations
  • Developing bespoke product designs that can be manufactured efficiently and cost effectively
  • Modifications to the existing standard product range
  • Ensuring efficient and timely completion of projects, anticipating issues and proactively working to resolve them
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers on a daily basis both in person and by telephone / email
  • Being involved in costings and ordering

Skills and Experience needed for the Product Designer role:

  • Conversant with SolidWorks
  • Product Design degree or similar
  • Experience of manufacturing processes for sheet metal and wood
  • Ideally with between 1 and 2 years’ experience
  • Strong modelling and technical skills
  • Adobe Creative Suite with AutoCAD being an advantage
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail orientated and numerate

In return they are offering a good starting salary with a bonus scheme, private healthcare, pension and works perks. Hours of work are 8am to 5pm with half day on Fridays.

Assistant Kitchen Designer - Northamptonshire - up to £26,000 (V03895)

This family owned and run business offer British, bespoke and beautifully handcrafted kitchens as well as an award-winning, luxury German kitchen brand. They also work with trusted, well-known brands in the bathroom industry and their beautiful showroom has four floors of galleries and displays for both kitchens and bathrooms.

The Senior Designer is currently looking for a designer to support them in a non-sales role. It would be showroom based Monday to Friday, 9.30am - 5.30pm. No Saturdays required at present, as they work by appointment only.

Based in a lovely location near Peterborough you will be assisting with designing to the brief, producing 3D visuals, pricing and preparing the quotation for checking, setting out mood boards for client meets, handling suppliers and sample ordering. In return additional training will be given and the chance to progress.

Skills required for the Kitchen Design Support role:

  • Good listening skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to which project needs working on, organised so deadlines still get met
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience designing kitchens using Fusion 2020 CAD
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with pricing kitchens, ideally using EQ

Graduate Landscape Architect / Junior Garden Designer - Hertfordshire - up to £30,000 (V03878)

Our client, a Chelsea Flower Show gold medallist, is a garden design and build practice, well-known for their small city gardens and loving the opportunity to bring greenery and wildlife back to urban spaces. They also create anything from a traditional formal garden to bringing contemporary flair to a countryside home.

Bespoke projects require careful and considered detailing. This entails producing a wide range of plans including 3D visuals, planting plans, construction details, lighting plans and irrigation plans. This is all coordinated in-house by their skilled and dedicated team and to which they wish to recruit a graduate landscape architect or junior garden designer with good CAD skills (preferably VectorWorks).

Duties will include:

  • Drawing and specifying landscape plans for construction and tender as well as providing 3D visuals
  • Preparing a wide range of other plans such as planting plans, construction details, lighting and irrigation plans
  • Dealing directly with clients to facilitate plan changes and updates as well as managing deadlines

Person / Experience Required:

  • Conversant with CAD (ideally VectorWorks or AutoCAD), SketchUp knowledge would be an advantage
  • Planting knowledge and a sound working knowledge of landscape construction
  • Confident in client management
  • Close attention to detail is imperative
  • Able to work well independently and be able to follow direction
  • Confident working in a small office environment with a strong team focus of hard work and conscientiousness
