Project Manager - Kitchens - Dubai - up to £35,000 (V03960)

As one of the leading kitchen brands globally, our client specialises in designing and installing tailor-made luxury kitchens and wardrobes in Dubai. They provide excellent service, a friendly and experienced approach to projects and are constantly looking at sustainability and the use of evolving technologies.
 
With a busy renovation market in Dubai, they are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to manage the kitchen installation team, subcontractors and projects.
 
The Project Manager will also:
  • Ensure client satisfaction, handing over each project on time and without complaint
  • Take dimensions on site when needed
  • Hand over MEP drawings and ensure the proper execution of them
  • Carry our regular inspections on site
  • Work closely with Sales Designers and the General Manager to plan the works
  • Help coordinate delivery of materials
  • Plan and prepare installation schedules in advance and assign tasks to the installers
  • Attend site management meetings and weekly sales meetings
  • Resolve problems and implement improvements
 
Skills and experience sought for the Project Manager:
 
  • Knowledge and experience within the kitchen industry
  • Excellent customer service and project management skills
  • Must be able to effectively liaise with and manage trades, the installation team and customers
  • Able to maintain a high level of quality 
  • A team worker, highly organised, flexible and IT competent
 
Your monthly renumeration will be made up of a salary (tax free), rent allowance, medical insurance, transportation, life assurance, company mobile phone and fuel allowance. There is also an annual return ticket back to the UK and accommodation provided initially when you arrive until you can arrange your own. The company will also process the successful candidate's work permit.

Our client is a leading artisan in professional home kitchens. They create handcrafted pieces in their renowned sleek industrial style, showing sophisticated mechanisms and the experience of premium restaurant cooking.
Their clients are mainly commercial, Architects, Interior Designers, Joinery Manufacturers and Developers and are from all over the UK and Ireland.
They have a newly created role that they are looking to fill and it would particularly suit a commercially minded individual who understands design and the kitchen sector. The Kitchen Designer / Account Manager will will discuss the brief with the client, carrying out a site survey, draw up the design and plan and then hand over to production at Head Office. You will then be directing and managing the sale and project to installation.
Although the role will be based in the Showroom you will be required from time to time to carry out site visits as well as nurturing business relationships and future business, also talking to B2B partners and being the “face” of the company for the UK.

The Scenic Manager remit is to:
  • Be responsible for checking artwork from clients ahead of sending to print, creating cutter guides and checking print deliveries as soon as possible and highlighting errors
  • Uphold sustainable working practices including recycling of materials
  • Be responsible for technical processes, meeting production timelines and providing WIP photos for clients
  • Create production images for the website and social media content stories and posts 
  • Check quality control and be responsible for stock control of scenic materials 
 
The Scenic Manager skills and experience required:
  • Good computer skills around MS Office 
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal 
  • Experienced in the planning and executing of projects based around strict budgets and deadlines 
  • Ability to deliver reports on scheduling and costs 
  • Able to monitor product standards and implement a quality-control programme 
  • Able to read drawings and create / read artwork files 
  • Ideally have come from an event, theatrical or exhibition background and have a broad range of production knowledge from conception through to execution. 
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, positive and a team player 
  • Have practical skills such as painting, basic carpentry and sewing

Our client is passionate about beautiful bathrooms and offer a carefully curated collection of bathroom furnishings and finishes. They sell products via their website, over the phone or by email. The items sold are a mixture of in-stock items and items that are made-to-order through a trusted network of craftsman and suppliers.

Due to the volume of sales and the growth of the business they are now looking for a senior manager to take over duties from the founder in managing the business processes and people for delivering customer orders; from the initial point of client contact through ordering and to final delivery and after sales care.

It is a full-time role and will require the successful candidate to work from the Head Office with appropriate Covid related protections. There will be some flexibility for home working and the possibility of a 4-day week for the right candidate.

Overall Responsibilities for the Business Manager:

You will be required to manage a team of 3 people which includes hiring, structuring and training more people as the company continues to grow over the next few years. Your priorities will sit equally in sales (providing clear information to customers and staff when dealing with customers) and in operations (all the processes that happen behind the scenes for the smooth ordering and delivery of products to customers). This role is all about managing people and processes and ensuring the business operates smoothly and will best suit someone who gets a lot of enjoyment and satisfaction from setting up and managing IT systems, data and processes.

General Employment Terms:

Due to natural growth, a new showroom and business at last picking up again they are now seeking a Project Manager with the ability to manage an average of 4 kitchen installations per week. Our client is an innovative gallery of original and unique contemporary furniture design and products, and are currently seeking a Production Coordinator with technical knowledge of furniture construction and production methods.

You will be interpreting sketches and drawings, ideally able to produce CAD drawings in Rhino, planning production schedules, monitoring the production processes and controlling the quality standards. Other duties include: preparing shipping samples; organising international and domestic transport and delivery of furniture and sculptures; managing the measurements and weights of both products and packing.

Skills and Experience needed for the Production Coordinator:

  • At least 5 years' relevant experience
  • Ability to interpret sketches and drawings
  • Ability to multitask and project manage the production of luxury sculptural / artistic furniture and products
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Computer literate ideally with 2D and 3D CAD skills
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills
  • Knowledge of handling a variety of materials such as bronze, wood, stainless steel, resin
  • A knowledge of other languages would be desirable (French, Italian, German)
