Luxury Kitchen Sales and Project Manager - London - up to £55,000 (V04312)

Our client is a leading artisan in professional home kitchens. With its origins and company base in Italy, the brand is renowned for creating exceptional handcrafted kitchens that combine sleek industrial design, sophisticated mechanisms and the experience of professional restaurant cooking.

They are now looking for an Italian-speaking Kitchen Sales & Project Manager to take ownership of the customer journey from initial enquiry through to installation and completion. You will be working with diverse clientele, including architects, interior designers, developers and private individuals from across the UK.

The Role:
This is a varied position combining sales, client management and project coordination. You will manage a mix of standard and bespoke projects, ensuring that every client receives a first-class experience throughout.
Standard projects will predominantly involve kitchen appliances, taking the enquiry and sale through quotation, administration and installation. A significant part of the role, however, will involve bespoke complete kitchens across the luxury residential, hospitality and outdoor sectors. Working alongside the Market Manager, you will take the initial brief, liaise with the technical design team at Head Office in Italy, present designs and proposals to the client and oversee the project through to successful completion.
Although showroom-based, you will also undertake occasional site visits, nurture business relationships and represent the brand at events.

Key Responsibilities of the Kitchen Sales & Project Manager:
  • Manage projects from initial client engagement through to final delivery and installation.
  • Develop sales opportunities and build strong, long-term relationships with clients and industry contacts.
  • Take client briefs and work with the Market Manager and technical team in Italy to develop bespoke solutions.
  • Present the brand, collections, designs and technical features using a knowledgeable, consultative approach.
  • Prepare quotations for standard products and manage the sales process through to completion.
  • Maintain accurate client and project information through the CRM system.

About you as the Kitchen Sales & Project Manager:
  • You will have previous experience within a high-end kitchen, appliance or furniture showroom, combined with strong commercial awareness and excellent client management skills.
  • Fluency in both Italian and English is essential, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You will be highly organised, confident dealing with discerning clients and comfortable managing several projects at different stages.
  • Above all, you will have a genuine passion for beautiful, high-quality kitchens and design, together with the ability to provide the level of service expected from a premium international brand.
What’s on Offer?
  • £50k - £55k basic salary plus £20k - £40k annual company bonus on top of salary, depending on personal and company performance.
  • 20 days’ holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Hours are Monday to Friday, not weekends.

As one of the top recruitment agencies in the UK for the design industry, we hold a number of vacancies from high end clients seeking experienced project managers.

The role of project manager is essential to the successful running of any design company. Traditionally it offers an attractive salary to the right candidate, but also requires significant experience within the industry, and has expectations of a solid work ethic and can-do attitude.

Project managers are generally team leaders, responsible for a group of staff from various disciplines and backgrounds, to cascade information and handle problems that may arise. Most project management jobs include dealing with a budget, and many roles require a manager with a hands-on approach, being experienced in the technical side of design themselves.

From this it can be readily deduced that the successful applicant for a project manager role will have excellent interpersonal skills, both with their own staff, and with customers, clients, and other stakeholders. They will be expected to be able to negotiate deals that are favourable to the company, not just in terms of money, but also regarding the product brief, realistic deadlines, company exposure, and so on.

While you will have a highly-skilled team supporting you, responsibility for the project is ultimately in your hands, so you must be able to motivate your team to meet the expectations of the company and your clients.

If this sounds like the sort of challenge you are ready for in your career, register with Careers in Design today. Let us take a look at your CV and pair you up with the project manager position that is most likely to suit your strengths.

Our clients are looking for dynamic and committed project managers, just like you. Using the menu filters you will find at the top of the page, you can search for your ideal project management role today.
