With a production and technical design studio on site, they are seeking a Production Manager with strong technical knowledge of furniture construction and production methods, who is able to meet the high expectations made by both their creative designers and their clients.
 
You will be planning production schedules, managing the production process on individual pieces, controlling the quality standards and interpreting sketches and drawings, liaising with clients and the workshops. 
 
Skills and Experience needed for the Production Manager:

Our client is a well-established bespoke furniture maker based on the edge of the Cotswolds with excellent train links to London, Bristol and the West Country. They have established a world-wide reputation as makers of high-quality bespoke furniture, cabinetry and specialist joinery and work closely with world renowned designers and architects as well as directly with private clients.
 
They are currently looking for an experienced furniture maker who is also proficient in 2D and 3D CAD Design. As Furniture Production Controller you will be coordinating and controlling the flow of work and information from design through manufacturing to completion and final delivery. You will be responsible for the quality and timeliness of the CAD Design and production drawings.
 
Duties of this role include:
  • Receiving the initial design brief to create the job specification and producing any drawings required at quotation stage
  • Managing the CAD team
  • Responsible for the production of drawings, samples, BOMs and cutting lists
  • Working closely with the whole team to ensure a seamless fulfilment of client orders
  • Preparing an accurate onsite installation pack for the installation team
  • Fully understanding the objectives and scope of each project, including timescales, verification of design and budget control
  
Skills and experience for the Furniture Production Controller:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a high-end cabinet making or specialist joinery role 
  • Understanding of a variety of manufacturing methods and the use of timber products, glass, metal, stone and fabrics

Salary:

Our client is a designer and manufacturer of office furniture with a wide variety of product ranges including desks, storage units, lockers, tables, upholstered privacy screens and acoustic breakout furniture. They have a showroom in London, but it is for their Head Office and Factory in South Yorkshire that they are seeking a CAD Design Draughtsperson to assist with the production and development of products.
 
You will be working within the design team using SolidWorks to develop products and generate 3D CAD files, technical drawings, assembly visuals and bills of materials for products and parts from across the breadth of their product ranges. You will see products through from drawing to manufacture, liaising with on-site manufacturing, production and administrative teams. 
 
Prototyping new products and product testing will also be part of the role as will the creation of product costings for product launches and special enquiries. They are open to a hybrid working model with 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.
 
Skills and Experience sought for the CAD Design Draughtsperson:
  • SolidWorks fluency, with a 2D CAD package such as AutoCAD or DraftSight an advantage
  • IT literate with knowledge of MS Excel

This company designs and installs luxury interiors for the retail, hospitality, residential and commercial sectors and have a live vacancy for a technical draftsperson to produce shop drawings for their joinery & fit-out projects.
 
You will need to have several years of experience in creating manufacturing level drawings and cutting lists for complete bespoke items ranging from kitchens to jewellery showcases to staircases to reception desks to bathroom cabinets. You will need to understand how a whole array of materials can work together including timber, glass, metal, stone and plastic.
 
The main responsibility will be the setting out of fit-out projects, coordinating other trades into the master drawings. For example, does the air conditioning clash with the lighting? does the sprinkler clash with the joinery? Their clients provide the initial design drawings and the Technical Draftsperson will then redraw them to a fully detailed level for manufacture.
