Our client is a highly regarded designer and manufacturer of bespoke, handcrafted furniture and joinery, creating exceptional pieces for both private residential and commercial interiors across London and the South-East.

Working closely with architects, interior designers and discerning private clients, they deliver beautifully crafted, made-to-order furniture and joinery solutions, from initial consultation through to design, manufacture and installation. Their portfolio includes luxury kitchens, wardrobes, studies, bedroom furniture, tables, chairs, cabinetry and bespoke joinery for high-end interiors.

They are now seeking an experienced and detail-focused Furniture & Joinery Draftsperson to join their talented team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for fine craftsmanship and technical precision to work on prestigious bespoke projects within a collaborative and creative environment. They are open to the role being either part-time or full-time.

The Role
Based in the office and working closely with the Workshop Manager and Project Manager, you will be responsible for producing accurate technical drawings for client approval and workshop production, ensuring every detail is translated into exceptional finished pieces. A full driving licence and access to a car will be needed as the offices and workshop are not easily accessible via public transport

Key Responsibilities are to:

  • Produce detailed technical drawings for bespoke joinery and furniture projects using AutoCAD
  • Collaborate with the Workshop Manager and Project Manager to ensure designs meet manufacturing requirements
  • Prepare clear and precise drawing packages for client approval, production and installation
  • Maintain consistency, accuracy and attention to detail across all project documentation and specifications
  • Support the successful delivery of projects from concept through to manufacture

About You:

  • Previous experience within high-end joinery, bespoke furniture manufacturing or technical drafting
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and the ability to produce accurate manufacturing drawings
  • SketchUp and able to create 3D renders would be helpful but not essential
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and clients

What's on Offer:

  • Salary of £33,000 - £37,000, depending on experience

Projects are delivered from concept through to technical design, workshop production and installation.

The Technical Designer will be responsible for producing accurate and detailed working drawings for bespoke furniture and joinery projects. The role involves interpreting architects' and interior designers’ concepts and developing them into clear technical drawings suitable for manufacture and installation. 

This is a key technical role requiring strong CAD skills, attention to detail, a good understanding of joinery construction and the ability to manage multiple projects at different stages.

Key Responsibilities are to:

  • Produce detailed working drawings from architects' and interior designers’ concepts
  • Prepare clear and accurate technical drawings for the in-house manufacturing team
  • Generate and maintain production schedules, cutting lists and related technical information
  • Carry out site surveys to obtain accurate measurements and project information

Skills and Experience expected from the Technical Designer:

  • Proven experience producing detailed CAD drawings for manufacture
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar CAD software
  • Good understanding of bespoke joinery, cabinetry, furniture construction and materials
  • Ability to interpret architects’ drawings, interior design concepts and site information

As a Senior Interior Designer, you will lead the creative direction of high-end residential and heritage projects, delivering thoughtful spatial design and expertly curated FF&E schemes. Key Responsibilities

Design Leadership:

Client & Supplier Engagement:

  • Build strong client relationships and understand project aspirations

  • Contribute to the development of the studio’s materials library

Documentation & Delivery:

  • Oversee the preparation of presentations, specifications and budgets
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation throughout all project stages

Skills & Experience Required from the Senior Interior Designer:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in high-end residential interior design
  • Strong client-facing and presentation skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage complex projects
  • In-depth knowledge of luxury FF&E, materials, finishes, and lighting
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Excel and EstiPC (or similar)

To successfully apply for a position as a furniture designer, you will be expected to demonstrate your creative skills, your technical ability, and your commercial awareness of this sector.
