This Architectural and Interior Design Practice has a strong reputation within the residential and commercial marketplace with a full D&B offering including architectural services alongside interior design and their own dedicated showroom for furniture, furnishings, accessories and tiling.
 
An opportunity has now arisen for an Interior Designer to join the team working on both private client and showhome interior design schemes.
 
Responsibilities for the Interior Designer also include:
  • Designing and implementing design schemes for clients
  • Liaising with suppliers and the in house Customer Services team
  • Working on pricing and quotations, also preparing client budgets and costings
  • Undertaking surveys and measurements as required
  • Attending client meetings, installations and managing onsite fitting teams
 
Skills and Experience needed for the Interior Designer:
  • 3 to 4 years’ experience in interior design for private residential, developers and show home clients
  • FF&E experience and knowledge of fabric and wallpaper companies 
  • Strong spatial awareness skills and attention to detail
  • Able to present to and handle clients
  • Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other 3D modelling packages
  • Knowledge of residential furniture and lighting brands would be an advantage but is not essential. In-house training will be provided

This creative Design & Build consultancy works within the food, beverage and hospitality industry. The services they provide include interior design and brand development, catering equipment design, interior fit out, installation and project management.
 
Due to a sustained increase in workload, they are currently seeking an enthusiastic Interior Designer to join their team. The role will be varied and will involve working throughout all project stages alongside the design and project delivery team. The role is full time / permanent and will be primarily office based, however they operate a hybrid working system and the role will also involve attending site visits throughout the UK.
 
Working as part of a team you will be responsible for generating concept proposals, creating presentation documents, concept visuals, developing FF&E specifications and sample boards, producing drawing packages for tender and construction and providing design support from concept to completion.
 
 
Experience and skills sought for the Interior Designer:
  • At least 2 years' commercial interior design experience to include hospitality
  • Creative with excellent technical awareness
  • You should be confident meeting with both clients and contractors
  • Fluent in VectorWorks and/or AutoCAD, SketchUp and the Adobe CS
  • A good understanding of statutory approvals (building regs, planning & CDM2015) would be an advantage
Working hours are 37.5 Hours per week, with 20 days holidays increasing for each year of service to 25 days, private healthcare, pension.  A salary of £26k to £36k with a discretionary bonus will be offered to the successful candidate.

The practice specialises in high-end residential, restaurant and marine interior design, working both locally and internationally. They are interested in an individual who is just as comfortable with sourcing and scheduling as they are with architectural detailing, leading projects from concept through tender and construction to FF&E Installation.
 
The Role and Responsibilities include:
  • Leading a number of projects, with the assistance of more junior members of the team

Our client is an award-winning, growing company with craft at the core of their designs. Each kitchen and piece of fitted furniture is hand-made to order using traditional joinery techniques and the finest materials, ensuring it is built to last a lifetime.

They have created a new role with the potential for the position to develop into so much more for the right person. You will be involved in the finer details of furniture manufacture, procurement and installation so this would suit an individual with strong knowledge of joinery and the construction of furniture.

This role will be WFH but you should be based in Yorkshire close enough to travel regularly into Harrogate.

Your work will involve:

  • Using AutoCAD for technical drawings and design work
  • Facilitating the development of sign-off, setting out, procurement and production of furniture, including cabinetry, metal elements, stone elements and other custom materials and features
  • Mechanical and electrical drawings and installation drawings to aid site trades
  • Liaising with the design team and project managers
  • Working with private clients, architects, developers and interior designers
  • Occasional travel to the showroom / studio in London and often to project sites, in order to attend meetings and to carry out site surveys and checks

Skills and Experience needed for the Furniture Designer:

  • A good understanding of high-end custom furniture
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience
  • Fluent in AutoCAD
  • Experience in 3D work and 3D visualisation is a bonus but not essential
  • A proactive person with a 'self-starter' attitude
  • Own car and Driving Licence

This is a fast-paced design role with focus on key internal design areas such as spatial layouts, furniture plans, lighting and electrical plans, reflective ceiling plans, kitchens, bathrooms, tiling design and selection and specification of architectural interior items such as stairs, joinery and ironmongery.
 
Experience sought for the Senior Interior Architectural Designer
  • At least 5 years’ experience of luxury residential design
  • Strong AutoCAD fluency
  • Revit would be useful, but not essential
  • Excellent spatial planning and interior architectural detailing ability
  • Knowledge of product sourcing, specifications, schedules and quotations
  • Able to assist on project programming during initial IA stages of the project, managing the deliverables and the installation elements of the project
  • Confident in client-facing and leading a project and attending meetings
  • Well-presented and personable, with excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Driving licence and ideally own car
Salary and Benefits:
Salary on offer is c£45k with end of year performance related bonus. You will be preparing drawings, presentations and quotations as well as managing live projects from design to completion, working both in the office and on site.
 
Duties and responsibilities for the Design and Project Coordinator will include:
  • Preparation of design proposals, preparation of technical prints, visuals and presentations
