This company has an in-depth knowledge of the modern workplace and office furniture, delivering some highly complex projects requiring multiple phases of installation and their track record of project delivery is exceptional.

They currently seek an additional designer to produce space plans and layouts, the detailing up of furniture and specifying furniture and accessories. If you are able to produce 3D visuals for presentation purposes then that would be very beneficial.

Objective and requirements:

  • To use AutoCAD for layouts and ideally 3D Studio or SketchUp for visuals
  • Good numeracy and an analytical ability is needed to provide solutions to clients
  • At least some experience of commercial interiors and office furniture to pick the role and job up quickly
  • A practical and technical head to put together presentation documents and plans
  • To use your good communication skills to liaise with other departments and clients

This Interior Design Consultancy create workspaces that enhance staff morale, motivation and productivity. Comprised of a team of professionals including architects, space planners, interior designers, surveyors, estimators, quantity surveyors, site managers and project managers, their collective experience and passion enables them to complete fun, vibrant and modern workspace interiors.

They are currently looking to add more designers to the team in their Southern office with both a mid-weight and a senior interior designer.

Objectives and requirements:

  • You will be working on several different projects at a time so will need to show flexibility within the role
  • Concept designs and detailing will be created using AutoCAD and knowledge of InDesign and 3D Studio for visuals and presentations would be an advantage but not necessity
  • Experience from the commercial interior design marketplace is required and workplace design a preference
  • You will be providing a personal service to clients so should be a good communicator and team player
  • Good hand drawing and sketching skills would be beneficial

In the world of space planner recruitment, certain things never go out of style. For one, virtually every business project – no matter the size – will require the attention of a qualified space planner. Whether working as a dedicated individual for a larger project, or blending your skills into the more general role of interior designer for a smaller contract, space planning jobs are as essential now as they've ever been.
