Junior Playground Designer - Lancashire - up to £27,000 (V04283)

This dynamic, international business designs, manufactures and installs fun, innovative outdoor playground equipment. Their mission is simple: to create exciting, educational play spaces that make children smile all over the world.
Due to continued growth, they are now looking for a creative and enthusiastic Junior Playground Designer to join their team.

About the Role
Working as part of a collaborative design hub, you’ll play a key role in bringing imaginative playground concepts to life. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating thoughtful, accurate CAD layouts and costings, based on client briefs and site information
  • Ensuring all designs meet UK and international safety standards, alongside internal company standards
  • Maintaining clear, accurate and timely CRM records relating to designs and costings
  • Working towards personal, hub and company KPI targets, with a clear understanding of goals and lead times

About You
This role would suit someone who genuinely gets a buzz out of designing fun, engaging outdoor spaces and wants to see their ideas turned into reality.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Experience using design software (AutoCAD preferred)
  • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop (advantageous but not essential)
  • A good working knowledge of Excel and strong numerical skills
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing tight deadlines
  • A self-motivated, organised and creative approach
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a real passion for design

As this is an office-based role, applicants must live locally or be able to relocate quickly.

Junior AV Designer - London - up to £32,000 (V04275)

Our client specialises in high-end home technology systems-smart home controls, lighting, AV, networking, and security. They work with many wealthy HNWI at the luxury end of the market and with a busy 2026 ahead, they’re looking for a motivated Junior AV Designer to join their growing team.
 
The Role
You’ll support the design team in producing drawings, schematics and technical documentation for premium residential AV projects, with full training and mentorship provided. There will also be an element of document management and administration whist you are learning the ropes.There will be full training provided and plenty of opportunities to grow and develop within the team.
 
Key Responsibilities for the Junior AV Designer include to:
  • Assist in producing AV designs, schematics, and layout drawings
  • Support the creation of rack layouts, cable schedules and technical documentation
  • Work with senior designers to develop specifications
  • Research new technologies and update design files as needed
  • Take part in site surveys and help refine designs
 
Skills & Experience needed from the Junior AV Designer:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Genuine interest in AV and smart home technology
  • Ability to read technical drawings and some understanding of the RIBA stages
  • Excellent communication, organisation and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Revit and prior use of basic AV or lighting systems is a bonus but not necessity
  • Appreciation of the luxury end of the marketplace

Our client is an award-winning manufacturer of luxury lighting, proudly engineering and manufacturing exclusively in the UK. Every product is made in-house, from machining and laser cutting through to finishing, wiring, and final assembly, ensuring exceptional quality and craftsmanship.

They are now looking to recruit a Product Developer to join their small, skilled team of product engineers based in the Midlands.

The Role
This is a hands-on, varied role that covers the full product development lifecycle. You will be responsible for taking products from concept and CAD modelling through to production documentation, packaging, and end-user instructions.

The role offers long-term development potential and may evolve to include management of the CAD department, working closely with teams across the business to implement procedural improvements and support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities include to:

  • Work on custom orders and production drawing changes
  • Model machined parts, components, and sheet metal fabrications using SolidWorks
  • Produce detailed dimensioned part drawings, assemblies and configurations
  • Create exploded views and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support assembly
  • Develop clear user instructions and diagrams alongside packaging solutions
  • Source components and liaise with suppliers

Skills & Experience from the Product Designer:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ industry experience in product design or product development
  • Excellent proficiency in SolidWorks
  • Strong understanding of design for manufacture
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident communicator with good interpersonal skills

In return:
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (dependent on experience), contributory pension, discretionary bonus, free on-site parking, 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.

Working from its base in Gloucestershire, where it has a showroom and a manufacturing facility, the company emphasizes the use of traditional printing techniques along with AVA CAD/CAM to produce their wallpapers and fabrics. They operate vertically ensuring control from initial contact through to final print.

Looking ahead and their plans for growth, they have identified the need to bring in a Deputy Design Director. As the right hand to the Creative Director, you will play a key role in managing projects and collections, keeping up the momentum and introducing a more organised and seamless design process. You will be ensuring that design output meets the highest standards of creativity, innovation, and usability. As this is a newly created role it will evolve around the successful candidate’s skillset.
