Kitchen Designer - Contract Kitchens - North East England - up to £25,000 (V04044)

This long-established British family business create quality kitchens to a high range of clientele and are part of the largest and longest established kitchen supply and manufacturing business in the UK. They are currently looking to fill the following role:
 
Contract Kitchen Designer: Your role will be to work with developers on kitchen designs for mid to large scale developments. The designs will vary depending on the brief and the client’s requirements and you will mainly be working off plans and site surveys submitted. It will involve some site visits although it is mainly an office-based role.
 
Skills and experience for both Kitchen Designer roles:
  • At least 3 years' experience within the KBB or Interiors marketplace
  • An efficient, professional communicator - both verbally and in the written form
  • A problem-solver and lateral thinker
  • Motivated, with the ability to both self-manage and work as part of a team
  • Competent in using CAD packages such as Winner, Fusion 20:20 and/or AutoCAD
 
Salary and Benefits for the Kitchen Designers:
Contract Kitchen Designer: c£25k. There is also a company pension and staff purchase scheme.

With an increasing number of projects coming in they are seeking both a Senior Interior Designer and a Mid-weight Interior Designer to join their growing team. You will be working on projects within the high-end residential sector and will be client facing, so strong interpersonal skills and communication skills are a must. All of the Designers in the team are allrounders, working on projects from concept through to completion.
 
Main areas of responsibility for the Interior Designer will be:
  • Understanding clients' needs, developing design concepts and establishing final briefs
  • Considering materials and costs according to set budgets and negotiating project fees
  • Working closely with architects, manufacturers, suppliers and other design professionals
  • Preparing detailed working drawings, designs, plans and presentations
  • Sourcing products such as fittings, furniture, furnishings, lighting and finishes and providing samples for clients
  • Visiting site, checking the installation is going to plan (and to the design) and liaising with the construction team
Skills and Experience needed for both Interior Designer roles:
  • Relevant creative experience gained within the luxury residential sector
  • Ability to manage clients effectively and proactively from initial brief through to installation
  • Strong conceptual and technical skills
  • Ability to handle suppliers and understand procurement
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage project budgets
  • Good sketching skills and be a competent user of AutoCAD
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Full UK driving licence and the availability to travel

Head of Design - Hertfordshire - up to £65,000 (V04041)

Our client is an award-winning architectural interior design and development practice known for working on prime properties for an international client base from opulent private homes to exclusive residential developments.
 
With an ever-increasing workload they are currently seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer to take on the role of Head of Design, managing a small team of designers on luxury projects within the residential marketplace.
 
This is a client facing role which requires the individual to oversee the Interior Design department and manage their own design projects. You should be highly creative and have a good eye for design, at the same time as demonstrating excellent client and staff management skills, ensuring that work is completed to the highest standard, meets deadlines and surpasses clients’ expectations.
 
Main responsibilities for the Head of Design:
  • Overseeing the team and mentoring junior designers
  • Attending meetings with prospective clients in order to promote the business
  • Formulating fee levels, project timelines and budgets
  • Developing highly creative schemes and seeing own projects through to completion and installation
  • Ensuring the design team maintain solid knowledge of luxury brands / trends and have a strong understanding of the evolving trends

Head of Design Salary:

CAD Design Draughtsperson - South Yorkshire - up to £32,000 (V04023)

Our client is a designer and manufacturer of office furniture with a wide variety of product ranges including desks, storage units, lockers, tables, upholstered privacy screens and acoustic breakout furniture. They have a showroom in London, but it is for their Head Office and Factory in South Yorkshire that they are seeking a CAD Design Draughtsperson to assist with the production and development of products.
 
You will be working within the design team using SolidWorks to develop products and generate 3D CAD files, technical drawings, assembly visuals and bills of materials for products and parts from across the breadth of their product ranges. You will see products through from drawing to manufacture, liaising with on-site manufacturing, production and administrative teams. 
 
Prototyping new products and product testing will also be part of the role as will the creation of product costings for product launches and special enquiries. 
 
Skills and Experience sought for the CAD Design Draughtsperson:
  • SolidWorks fluency, with a 2D CAD package such as AutoCAD or DraftSight an advantage
  • IT literate with knowledge of MS Excel
  • A technical and enquiring mind with good problem-solving abilities
  • At least 3 years' working professionally in a design or draughting based role
  • An understanding of design for manufacture using woodworking CNCs and machinery advantageous, as would designing fabricated sheet metal components
Salary and Benefits:
A salary of between £27k and £32k is on offer along with a company contributory pension scheme and 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays).
Hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm (Monday to Thursday) and 8.30am to 3pm (Fridays).

As Senior Interior Architect you will be working mainly with their private clients leading the design on forthcoming projects. They are seeking somebody with expertise in high-end residential development who would be responsible for projects from concept / planning stages through to completion. Projects would cover all aspects of interior architecture and specification including floor plans, kitchens, bathrooms, dressing areas, interior joinery, specialist wall coverings and ceilings. As Interior Architect you will be working on projects from concept stage, through the detailed design stage to completion. The ideal candidate will be happy to work on technical/construction drawings, kitchen, bathrooms, tiling, spatial layouts, specifications such us doors, ironmongery, coffers, etc, stairs, fireplaces. All focused on high-end residential and developer projects, meeting the end-users’ lifestyle, budgets and aspirations. 
 
 
Experience sought for the Interior Architect:
  • AutoCAD fluency (Revit an advantage)
  • Good experience to include luxury residential
  • Strong spatial planning and interior detailing ability
  • Good Project Management skills
  • Confident in client-facing and leading a project from start to finish
  • Well-presented and personable, with excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Own car to visit clients is preferred
Salary and Benefits:
