Interior Designer - Essex - negotiable (V04049)

As a multi-disciplinary design-led practice, our client boasts an impressive portfolio including blue-chip national and international clients specialising in all areas of the hospitality sector delivering projects throughout the UK and into Europe. Projects include bars, restaurants, hotels, casinos and cafes and they are based within easy commuting distance to London.
 
They are currently seeking an additional experienced Interior Designer who can take a project and run with it through to completion and installation. This would require being able to present to clients and deliver projects on site working with the team.
 
 
Skills and Experience needed for the Interior Designer:
  • Able to work from concept to completion
  • Project Management experience
  • Have experience with managing client relationships and undertaking presentations
  • Knowledge gained ideally through working on hotel and/or hospitality projects
  • Architectural or design qualifications to degree or similar level
  • Clean Driving Licence
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar

Interior Designer - London - up to £40,000 (V04048b)

This vibrant design and build company create and fit out bespoke high impact office interiors and seek an additional Interior Designer to strengthen the team and work on some new projects they have recently won.
 
They have three current requirements: a Technical Interior Designer, a Midweight and a Junior Interior Designer. The roles will have a wide variety of responsibilities with the Technical Interior Designer working on projects from design brief through to realisation of the design and drawing packages and on to installation. The Interior Designers will be involved in attending client meetings, space planning, concept generating including mood boards sketches and visuals, site surveying and working through to installation.
 
They offer flexible working where possible and aligned with training; you will be working from either their West Sussex or London office as your base location with travel expenses covered to the secondary office and dedicated projects. Where possible working from home is offered 1 day a week.
 
The junior Interior Designer will be a graduate with an Interior Architecture or Interior Design Degree having completed a placement or with industry experience within the workplace design sector.
 
The Midweight Interior Designer will need at least 2 years commercial experience and the Technical Designer should have a bias towards all technical aspects of projects.
 
In addition you will need
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and the Creative Suite 
  • Knowledge of SketchUp and 3D visualisation would be beneficial
  • Strong team-work approach
  • Strong communication skills
  • A current driving licence to visit site
Salary on offer is negotiable and will depend on experience and work location: 
 
c£26k for the Junior Interior Designer
£30k to £35k for the Midweight Interior Designer
£30k to £40k for the Technical Designer

Our client is an architectural interior design and development practice known for working on prime properties for an international client base from opulent private homes to exclusive residential developments.
 
With an increasing number of projects coming in they are seeking both a Senior Interior Designer and a Mid-weight Interior Designer to join their growing team. You will be working on projects within the high-end residential sector and will be client facing, so strong interpersonal skills and communication skills are a must. All of the Designers in the team are allrounders, working on projects from concept through to completion.
 
Main areas of responsibility for the Interior Designer will be:
  • Understanding clients' needs, developing design concepts and establishing final briefs
  • Considering materials and costs according to set budgets and negotiating project fees
  • Working closely with architects, manufacturers, suppliers and other design professionals
  • Preparing detailed working drawings, designs, plans and presentations
  • Sourcing products such as fittings, furniture, furnishings, lighting and finishes and providing samples for clients
  • Visiting site, checking the installation is going to plan (and to the design) and liaising with the construction team
Skills and Experience needed for both Interior Designer roles:
  • Relevant creative experience gained within the luxury residential sector

  • Strong conceptual and technical skills
  • Ability to handle suppliers and understand procurement
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage project budgets

Head of Design - Hertfordshire - up to £65,000 (V04041)

With an ever-increasing workload they are currently seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer to take on the role of Head of Design, managing a small team of designers on luxury projects within the residential marketplace.
 
This is a client facing role which requires the individual to oversee the Interior Design department and manage their own design projects. You should be highly creative and have a good eye for design, at the same time as demonstrating excellent client and staff management skills, ensuring that work is completed to the highest standard, meets deadlines and surpasses clients’ expectations.
 
Main responsibilities for the Head of Design:
  • Overseeing the team and mentoring junior designers

Our client is a privately owned, luxury residential developer specialising in bespoke homes in the Home Counties who is seeking a Senior Interior Architect to join the team. 
 
As Senior Interior Architect you will be working mainly with their private clients leading the design on forthcoming projects. They are seeking somebody with expertise in high-end residential development who would be responsible for projects from concept / planning stages through to completion. Projects would cover all aspects of interior architecture and specification including floor plans, kitchens, bathrooms, dressing areas, interior joinery, specialist wall coverings and ceilings. You will be working with clients, dealing with trades and contractors and managing all procurement for the projects including independent and pro-active sourcing of goods.

Technical Draftsperson - Middlesex - negotiable (V03984)

This company designs and installs luxury interiors for the retail, hospitality, residential and commercial sectors and have a live vacancy for a technical draftsperson to produce shop drawings for their joinery & fit-out projects.
 
You will need to have several years of experience in creating manufacturing level drawings and cutting lists for complete bespoke items ranging from kitchens to jewellery showcases to staircases to reception desks to bathroom cabinets. You will need to understand how a whole array of materials can work together including timber, glass, metal, stone and plastic.
 
The main responsibility will be the setting out of fit-out projects, coordinating other trades into the master drawings. For example, does the air conditioning clash with the lighting? does the sprinkler clash with the joinery? Their clients provide the initial design drawings and the Technical Draftsperson will then redraw them to a fully detailed level for manufacture.
 
Experience and skillset needed for the Technical Draftsperson:
  • Experience on luxury fit-outs
  • Strong ability to produce detailed manufacturing drawings
  • Understanding of manufacturing and construction
  • Fluent on AutoCAD
  • Practical with good problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, able to liaise with individuals within the company and external to the company
  • Enthusiastic / Flexible / Dynamic
