Busy with new projects coming in they are currently seeking an experienced individual to take on the role of Design Manager. Managing a small team your remit will include both man-management and project management, liaising with clients, overseeing projects and design work, checking projects are running to deadline and budget.
They are seeking an individual with a product design background and who is looking for more of an overseeing and management role, than hands-on designing.
 
Skills and Experience needed for the Product Design Manager:

Product Design Engineer - London - up to £35,000 (V04010)

Our client are leaders in specialist art lighting, designing and manufacturing LED lighting products that transform works of art within private residences, stately homes, galleries and museums. They also take in commissions for high-end commercial spaces.
 
They currently have an opening for a Product Design Engineer who will be responsible for the design, development and production of architectural LED lighting products. This will include using their MRP system, creating manufacturing drawings, BOMs, product prototyping and product testing. This will suit a technically organised individual who has experience within the product design sector and a genuine interest in lighting products.
 
Skills and Experience needed for the Product Design Engineer:
  • At least 2 years' relevant experience
  • Knowledge of product engineering / manufacturing processes / techniques
  • Solid organisational skills
  • Problem-solving capability
  • Fluent with SolidWorks, AutoCAD and Adobe CS
Salary and Benefits:

This Interior Design Consultancy specialises in designing and installing interiors for Showhomes, Hotels and for Private Residential Clients. They have a team of talented in-house professionals which includes designers, soft furnishers, stylists, picture-framers and fitters and are now seeking an additional Business Development Manager to be based out for their offices but working nationwide although more of their business in the the South.
 
Your role will be a combination of winning new business and account management and the position comes with a car and it is likely to be a 50/50 split between office and travel. They are a very family-friendly business and flexible about working hours, have a good company pension scheme, a group company bonus paid twice yearly and staff discounts from suppliers. All of this contributes to a low turnover of staff and repeat business from their clients.
 
Key Purpose of the Business Development Manager role:
  • Delivery of successful repeat business, retention and referral rates
  • Negotiation of achievable project budgets with customers
  • Carrying out regular research within the new homes market to generate new sales leads
  • Contributing to the preparation of the annual sales and marketing plan and reviewing performance against these quarterly
  • Implementation of regular marketing and advertising campaigns
  • Providing sales information including forecasts to assist in analysis and forward planning
  • Liaising with the team in all phases of a customer’s project to ensure design, budget and timeframe requirements are met
Skills and Experience for the Business Development Manager:

They can be flexible on working hours and will consider either f/t (37.5 hours) or p/t (30 hrs). Salary is negotiable plus car, bonus, company pension and 22 days' holiday plus Bank Holidays.

Senior Interior Designer / Team Leader - Midlands - up to £55,000 (V03999)

This award-winning interior design studio specialises within the residential marketplace tailoring the design and service around their client’s needs. They have built up over many years a trusted network of partners to create tailor-made joinery, upholstery, artwork and soft furnishings. They are also able to offer CGI imagery, styling and a full installation and fit-out service.
 
We have been asked to help them fill two roles:
1. Senior Residential Interior Designer / Design Lead
They are looking for candidates with 8+ years’ experience to include the luxury residential interior design sector and proven experience of working with private clients. You will need to be confident with a client facing role and experience working with international clients would be beneficial. Knowledgeable in interior architecture, you will able to source, create and design all aspects of FF&E including furniture, soft furnishings, lighting, wall coverings and artwork. Managing projects including site installations, you will be using the Adobe CS and MS Office, especially Excel. They have in-house CAD technicians to assist.
 
Ideally you will be based in London or the surrounding aras as this is where most of their clients are. You would then be expected to travel to the Head Office in the Midlands 2-3 times a month.
 
2. Senior Commercial Interior Designer / Design Lead
They are looking for candidates with 8+ years’ experience in the commercial interior design sector, residential experience in addition would be beneficial. This should ideally cover hospitality, shared facilities and communal areas. You will be able to source, create and design all aspects of FF&E including furniture, soft furnishings, lighting, wall coverings and artwork. Managing projects including in-depth site meetings and installations, you should be proficient in CAD, Adobe CS and MS Excel.
As the Head Office based in the Midlands, the ideal candidate would be living no more than 1 hours’ commute as you would be expected to be in office at least 2 days per week.
.

Continually busy with new projects coming in they are looking for a creative and organised individual to take on the role of FF&E Designer. You will be handling suppliers, sourcing new products, assisting with the preparation of various projects, invoicing and listing. This is a very varied role and would particularly suit someone who has worked in a similar / supporting role within an interior design practice or a luxury interiors showroom and is familiar with furnishings, lighting and pieces of artwork using the finest materials.

Day-to-day responsibilities for the FF&E Designer include:

The company’s philosophy is based upon creative development, inspiration and enthusiasm and for the right candidate, this role could be fully remote.
 
As Head of Design you will be using your experience, knowledge and enthusiasm to translate initial design concepts to unique visual drawings, renderings, 3D graphics and animations, seeing projects through to completion.
There may also be opportunities for a mid-weight and a senior furniture designer to come onboard with remote working an option.
 
The role will also encompass:
  • Crafting visuals, hand sketches and renders for prospective and live projects.

Technical Draftsperson - Middlesex - negotiable (V03984)

This company designs and installs luxury interiors for the retail, hospitality, residential and commercial sectors and have a live vacancy for a technical draftsperson to produce shop drawings for their joinery & fit-out projects.
 
You will need to have several years of experience in creating manufacturing level drawings and cutting lists for complete bespoke items ranging from kitchens to jewellery showcases to staircases to reception desks to bathroom cabinets. You will need to understand how a whole array of materials can work together including timber, glass, metal, stone and plastic.
 
The main responsibility will be the setting out of fit-out projects, coordinating other trades into the master drawings. For example, does the air conditioning clash with the lighting? does the sprinkler clash with the joinery? Their clients provide the initial design drawings and the Technical Draftsperson will then redraw them to a fully detailed level for manufacture.
 
Experience and skillset needed for the Technical Draftsperson:
  • Experience on luxury fit-outs
  • Strong ability to produce detailed manufacturing drawings
  • Understanding of manufacturing and construction
  • Fluent on AutoCAD
  • Practical with good problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, able to liaise with individuals within the company and external to the company
