This company who specialises in the design of bespoke interior projects throughout the UK have an exciting new team to fill, requiring strong, driven and experienced individuals with proven project management skills combined with outstanding levels of customer service. The remit will be to work with a specific client(s), managing all communications to allow the work stream and relationship to function proactively and therefore effectively managing the day to day delivery of design projects. 

This is a predominantly office based, customer centric role, in which the ideal candidate will employ a proactive approach, using their customer service and project management skills to effectively deliver the projects on time whilst handling any issues that arise during the process installation from point of sign off.

Job requirements:

  • Sales project management and customer service experience 
  • Excellent organisational skills, a planner and adept at prioritising to meet deadlines
  • Ability to build strong rapport with client and internal colleagues
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive
  • Good computer literacy (specifically Excel)
  • Ability to manage own administration involved in the role including updating of design schedules, sales forecast and changes, budget sheets and quotes
  • The ability to demonstrate a good standard in literacy and numeracy

This company is a specialist in the interior architecture and fitted furniture for historical and period properties. They count themselves as privileged to have worked in a variety of beautiful buildings spanning Country and London Town Houses across the UK and abroad. Everything they design is completely bespoke, and their modern 12,000sq.ft. workshop houses a dedicated team of cabinet-makers and finishers.

This new role is senior and key to the company so the successful candidate will have plenty of experience handling both clients and liaising with the technical team and workshop.

This role includes designing bespoke projects from a client brief using your CAD and hand drawing skills and will involve knowledge of historical furniture and architectural details as well as incorporating contemporary design when appropriate.

Other Objectives and Requirements:

  • You will be putting together design presentations for the clients and their architects so good literacy and communication skills, both verbal and written will be needed
  • You must be well-organised and committed, able to work to deadlines and manage a number of projects simultaneously
  • You will be a self-starter as well as being able to work as part of a team

With offices based in West Sussex near the coast and London this position would be to become part of the London office with occasional trips to Sussex.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Architectural Designer who has knowledge of furniture design to join a company that creates bespoke exteriors and interiors. The successful candidate will be working closely with the design director working on a broad range of projects which can span from residential design to wine cellars to swimming pools and to many more both in the UK and Internationally. This will allow the successful candidate an opportunity to have hands on experience from concept to completion and travel abroad.

Job role and requirements:

  • Developing the design, based upon the project, programme and budget
  • To communicate clearly and be involved in client presentation so fluency in English is a must
  • To visualise concepts and be able to explain them to others
  • Drafting drawings using AutoCAD, 3DSMax and/or V-Ray Plugin (including carpenter detailing, bathroom detailing and master planning, elevations, technical drawings)
  • Sourcing materials and finding new suppliers, requiring a good knowledge of design trends and innovative design materials, products and suppliers
  • Coordinating the supply of all items relevant for each project and the delivery to site at the correct times
  • Managing a team on site and review site installation of all items

The person for this role should have worked successfully on projects from inception to completion for a minimum period of 5 years, with an industry recognised qualification in Interior Design. The successful candidate will work on a variety of high-end private residential projects in the UK and Europe, and should demonstrate the following skills and responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Attending site and client meetings
  • Project management including liaising with architects, contractors and trades and the client
