Architectural Technician - Warwickshire - up to £35,000 (V04246)

A role has arisen with the F&B division of our client, who designs imaginative hospitality environments for major brands and chains. As an experienced Architectural Technician, you will be working alongside the design team to deliver deadline driven roll-out refurbishment programmes.

The role will be a hybrid of home and office based and your responsibilities will include to:

  • Produce working drawings and make statutory applications for Building Regulations / Planning / Listed Buildings / Advertising / Licensing / Warrants.
  • Produce pavement licence drawings and ‘As-Built’ drawings for inclusion within Health & Safety files.
  • Research and keep up to date with new architectural products and all relevant Building Regulation requirements.
  • Identify your own personal development requirements, knowledge and skills.
  • Assist the Senior Technician to update and maintain the Technical Library.
  • Assist the Senior Technician with measured drawing of building surveys or carry out alone.


Skills and Experience needed from the Architectural Technician:

  • At least 4 years' experience in Architecture.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD with VectorWorks an advantage but not critical.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Lateral thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and consistency in drawing work, to produce high quality drawings.

Product Designer - London - up to £32,000 (V04245)

Our client has built a reputation with the world’s leading architects and designers for dealing in the finest antique and reproduction fireplaces, furniture and lighting. Recognized worldwide, they are currently recruiting for a Junior Product Design Engineer. You will be working mainly on their lighting products full-time in their offices as part of a small design team. This will particularly suit a designer who has an appreciation of lamps and lanterns from the 17th to 19th centuries and also with interior design.


Essential skills, knowledge, and responsibilities:

  • 2 - 3 years of professional experience, comfortable producing highly detailed drawings of components, assembly and explosion based on original products.
  • Good proficiency with SolidWorks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing time-sensitive projects for both new collection launches and custom projects.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes, different materials and installation techniques within the lighting world.
  • Knowledge of 3D printing and 3D scanning processes.
  • Well-developed communication skills with a hands-on and problem-solving attitude.
  • Knowledge of Blender for rendering and freehand sketching skills an advantage.

In return:

They are currently seeking a Handbag Designer for a 12-month Maternity Cover who will be part of the Womenswear Non-Clothing team. They are always looking to push the boundaries of design within this category and across multi-fabrications and you will be working alongside the Buyers, Merchandisers and Product Technologists closely with a keen eye for pricing and elevated design. Experience within bag design is a must for this position.

Creative and approachable with clear presentation skills, you will drive the design within the bags area keeping on top of advanced trends, using your knowledge of brands within this category and looking to push the design direction for the company.

You will be situated within their amazing Design Studio, over-looking the lake in the central part of their Head Office Campus with free parking on-site, including car sharing and a free company bus service to and from Leicester city centre and other areas. With a production and technical design studio on site your main duties will include:

  • Planning production schedules, monitoring the production processes and setting and controlling the quality standards
  • Interpreting sketches and drawings, able to produce CAD drawings in Rhino when required
  • Preparing and shipping samples, organising international and domestic transport for furniture and sculpture

Skills and Experience sought from the Production Coordinator:

The successful applicant will be working as part of the design team, assisting with the design and development of the company’s new product ranges as well as the maintenance of their extensive back catalogue of products. We are actively looking on behalf of our client for a new mid-weight interior architect to join this award-winning interior design and architecture studio who are based in Surrey, just inside the M25.

You will be working as part of a team on both UK and international projects from concept through to completion across all project phases. Projects will be innovative and luxurious high-end designs for the residential market, boutique hotels and the high-net-worth clientele.

The main duties will include: 

  • Creating CAD technical drawing packages
  • Producing detailed internal architectural drawings
