Joinery and Kitchen Designer - London - up to £42,000 (V04269)

Inspired by the beauty and precision of historical detail and experienced in the use of modern materials and techniques, our client is an award-winning maker of bespoke furniture and architectural joinery for residential projects.

Their clients expect a thoroughly professional approach with outstanding design solutions, products and service. In this role you will therefore need to demonstrate a flair for creative solutions with both design and practicality in mind. You will need to have a fine eye and attention to detail and be extremely thorough in the design and delivery of your projects.

You will be working alongside another sales designer project managing each job up to the point it is handed over to the factory and the Installations Manager. This will include all client correspondence up until the job is nearing completion in the factory.

Skills and Experience sought for the Sales Designer role:

  • A knowledge of timber, timber technology, wood veneers, wood finishes / techniques, cabinet making and joinery construction methods
  • A knowledge of quality kitchen appliances, work surfaces and sanitary ware would be beneficial
  • Minimum 4 years' kitchen sales and design experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • CAD user preferable

Salary and Benefits package:

Salary: £38k to £42k plus uncapped commission OTE £60k to £80k plus private medical and dental insurance, company pension, and regular company events.

Senior Fabric Technologist - Menswear Jersey - Leicestershire - up to £66,000 (V04266)

This major retailer of fashion and homeware have an opening for a Senior Fabric Technologist for their Menswear Jersey team.

Travelling to factories / mills / laundries, sourcing fabric and yarns along with developing and elevating quality is key here within the Menswear team. They are looking for someone with great knowledge and proven experience of yarn, fibres and fabric technology, innovation is what they strive for. You will be working with suppliers and driving fabric developments and setting and reviewing standards and as an integral member of the product team, you will help to guide any decisions in line with the legal requirements and within the company's guidelines. 


Skills and Experience sought from the Senior Fabric Technologist:

  • As a senior level team player, you will have great people skills and love to work collaboratively but also using your own skill set
  • Extensive technical experience and exceptional eye for technical detail
  • Experience within fabric technology, including performance knowledge
  • Effective communication skills
  • Retail or UK based supplier experience

Working Pattern is 5 days per week onsite, with some flexibility once embedded into the role. Core hours between 8am to 6pm.

  • Analytical, organised, and an excellent communicator with a keen eye for detail and finish
