Junior AV Designer - London - up to £32,000 (V04275)

Our client specialises in high-end home technology systems-smart home controls, lighting, AV, networking, and security. With a busy 2026 ahead, they’re looking for a motivated Junior AV Designer to join their growing team.
 
The Role
You’ll support the design team in producing drawings, schematics and technical documentation for premium residential AV projects, with full training and mentorship provided.
 
Key Responsibilities for the Junior AV Designer include to:
  • Assist in producing AV designs, schematics, and layout drawings
  • Support the creation of rack layouts, cable schedules and technical documentation
  • Work with senior designers to develop specifications
  • Collaborate with project managers and installation teams to ensure design intent
  • Research new technologies and update design files as needed
  • Take part in site surveys and help refine designs
 
Skills & Experience needed from the Junior AV Designer:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong interest in AV and smart home technology
  • Ability to read technical drawings and some understanding of the RIBA stages
  • Excellent communication, organisation and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Revit and prior use of basic AV or lighting systems is a bonus

Lead AV Designer - London - up to £42,000 (V04274)

Our client is a leader in designing and delivering fully integrated home technology systems. Their experienced design team shares a real passion for how technology can elevate modern living-spanning smart home automation, lighting control, audio-visual systems, data networks, and security. With a strong pipeline of projects already secured for 2026, they are looking to welcome an experienced Lead AV Designer to the team.

The Role
As Lead AV Design Engineer, you’ll take ownership of high-end residential (and occasional commercial) AV system design from concept through to completion. You’ll work closely with architects, interior designers, contractors, and internal technical teams to ensure every system is beautifully designed, technically robust, and seamlessly integrated into the built environment.

Key Responsibilities include to:

  • Produce detailed AV system designs and create design packages aligned with RIBA stages
  • Prepare rack elevations, cable schedules, mounting details and network topology diagrams
  • Attend and contribute to design coordination meetings, providing expert technical guidance
  • Assist with fee proposals, scopes of work, and design rationale when required
  • Produce supporting collateral such as technical brochures, system summaries and visual presentation material
  • Support the creation of as-built drawings and O&M manual documentation

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Competent in MS Office and structured digital file management (network drives, Dropbox, OneDrive)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with a high-end AV integrator
  • Confident client-facing and presentation skills
  • Proven track record of delivering premium-level AV designs
  • Working knowledge of Revit (and willingness to upskill) would be an advantage

About the role
As a Junior Bespoke Joinery Designer, you’ll join a talented and collaborative team that both designs and manufactures custom joinery.
