This family-run business has been working within the kitchen marketplace for many years and recently refurbished all of their four showrooms to a very high standard.

Due to natural growth they are seeking an additional Kitchen Designer for their showroom just South of Birmingham. The role will allow flexibility with some home working and although all the leads will be provided, you must be able and be prepared to drive to visit customers' homes.

Person / Experience Required:

  • Strong and proven track record within kitchen design and sales
  • Able to work to strict deadlines and targets
  • A natural flair for design, presentation and customer service
  • Good IT skills and CAD literate (they use Compusoft Winner and EQ)
  • A confident, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with a positive work ethic

This Interior Design Consultancy creates luxury interiors for both the residential and commercial marketplace nationwide, always striving to exceed their clients’ expectations. They provide turnkey solutions, consultancy and procurement services for a variety of sectors, with specialist knowledge in residential and retirement homes for the elderly and with dementia care.

With a steady growth in business, they are currently seeking an FF&E Designer to join their busy team responsible for all FF&E elements of projects. This will include collating artwork and accessories, ordering samples and handling fabric suppliers, listing and specifying, and inputting into schedules. Working closely with the team you will be seeing your projects through to installation on-site. They use EstiMac for procurement.

You will have a modern approach with a passion for working in the high-end sector and delivering luxury design. The preferred candidate will have proven experience in all aspects of residential and commercial design and you will have worked from concept to completion in accordance with the clients brief with the proven ability to work independently. You must also be confident collaborating with design and architectural teams and working in a client-facing role.

Experience and Skills required for the role of FF&E Interior Designer:

  • Ideally 3 to 6 years’ industry experience
  • Experienced as an FF&E Interior Designer rather than an Architectural Interior Designer
  • Proficiency with Microsoft, Photoshop, AutoCAD, InDesign or similar program for the production of drawings, mood boards and presentation material
  • Eye for colour and design
  • Good organization and administration skills as there will be documentation and listing
  • Ideally knowledge of using EstiMac or similar
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong team player

Candidates must have proven experience and records of winning and working on large projects. They must have commercial office interior experience and have worked on projects c£1m plus. Proficiency on AutoCAD, PowerPoint, SketchUp, InDesign and Photoshop will be essential. This is a position which would suit a person who is time-served working in fine art bronze foundries or artist / design studios, involved in manufacturing high quality functional interior products or sculpture, in metals such as bronze, brass and steel.

Duties and Responsibilities for the Metalworker

  • Fabrication of brass lighting or furniture from raw materials
  • Fabrication of steel or iron lighting or furniture
  • Ability to train others in metalwork processes
  • Assembly of cast bronze components to create functional sculptural products
  • TIG Welding, Silver Soldering, Soft Soldering and Metal Chasing
  • Jig and pattern making
  • Fabrication of brass components
  • Lathe Work and polishing

Person and Experience Required for the Metalworker:

  • Typically 10 years' experience particularly in bronze and brass
  • Experience within the arts or interior product manufacturing is important
  • Proven experience in making high-end sculptural products
  • Knowledge of luxury furniture and lighting manufacturing
  • Demonstrable skills, taking a brief through to completion
