Senior Kitchen Designer - London - up to £40,000 (V03798)

As one of the world's leading artisans in professional home kitchens, this company takes pride in creating handcrafted pieces in their sleek industrial style, each kitchen showing off a bespoke design, sophisticated mechanisms and the experience of premium restaurant cooking.

They will be moving very soon to a new centrally located showroom and seek an additional designer to join the team.

This role would suit a designer who has already had exposure to this marketplace and understands how important attention to detail is. It will be a client facing role so your presence, communication and interpersonal skills will be important. Regular travel to clients, trade shows and to visit Head Office in Italy will be expected.

There will be excellent chances of progression as they are still growing their coverage of the UK marketplace.

Person / Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 4 years' relevant experience
  • Qualifications in Interior Design or similar
  • Literate with the Adobe CS
  • Professional and smart in appearance
  • Both creative and technically minded
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Excellent spoken and written English

The duties of the Business Account Executive involve establishing relationships with new clients who have new orders to process, whilst managing the needs of existing clients. The emphasis of the role is providing an ongoing service package for clients. You will be the first point of contact for clients when they have an order that needs to be processed. As the Business Account Executive, you will follow all orders from the start until they have been delivered to the client's site. Due to the nature of clients it is extremely important that the post holder has an excellent understanding of the luxury world of five-star hotels and restaurants.

They are currently seeking an additional Technical Designer to join the team and work with a comprehensive range of materials and designs for high-end companies throughout the capital. Some of their recent projects have been for Red Bull, Maclaren Motorsport, Houzz and LinkedIn.

The Joinery and Furniture Designer remit will be to:

  • Create concept designs, rendering and turning them into ready-to-manufacture technical drawings
  • Produce complete and checked technical drawings
  • Research technical details of components, materials and designs used, to ensure fit-for-purpose
  • Where possible, engineer designs to be as efficient as possible for manufacture
  • Research new solutions to technical issues
  • Participate in company and departmental discussions about improvements and innovation

Experience and skills required for the Joinery and Furniture Designer are:

  • Experience working with Solid Edge or SolidWorks 3D design software
  • Experience of producing joinery drawings with preferably hands-on knowledge in manufacturing and assembly
  • Manufacturing and pre-installation construction takes place in house, so good communication skills are required to resolve any potential design and material issues
  • Take offs for CNC milling and other outsourced material production will also be required directly from the CAD drawings, so accuracy is vital
  • Experience in the commercial interior sector is also a benefit
  • Self-confident, pro-active and a genuine interest in the sector

A good salary is on offer along with paid over-time if needed. 22 days holiday increasing by 1 day every 2 years to a maximum of 25 days. Lunch is provided by the company and there is parking space on the premises.
