Kitchen Designer - Essex - up to £35,000 (V03704)

This family run Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom retailer have three showrooms in the East of England and are seeking an additional Kitchen Designer who is creative, with an aptitude for handling clients and of delivering true kitchen solutions.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end customer experience, from initial design enquiry and concepts, through to completion of sale and installation. Opportunities will be provided via quality leads and home visits will be expected.

With over 25 displays in the showroom and being able to offer a truly "one stop shop" there is plenty of potential to help grow the business and develop a great career with them.

Person / Experience Required:

  • Highly personable and a great communicator
  • Confident in working in both the showroom and on home visits
  • At least 3 years' experience in kitchens, or similar within the KBB industry
  • Strong design ability and design software aptitude (they use Planit Fusion)
  • Self-motivated, proactive and a team player

The showroom is open Monday to Saturday and there is a generous basic salary and bonus scheme on offer for the successful candidate.

Senior Interior Designer - London - up to £55,000 (V03702)

This vibrant design and build company create and fit out bespoke high impact office interiors and seek a creative Senior Interior Designer to join their successful design team.

With offices based in West Sussex near the coast and London this position would be to either become part of the London office or to work from the West Sussex office with regular trips up to London.

The role will have a wide variety of responsibilities as you will be taking projects from initially enquiry and concept pitch through to realisation of the design and drawing packages and on to installation and completion.

Objectives and requirements:

  • To produce and present pitches in a competitive environment
  • Develop the production of designs and specification criteria requiring good technical knowledge and skills
  • To carry out site surveys and use AutoCAD and the Adobe Creative Suite
  • You may be managing a small team of project designers so past supervisory experience will be preferred

The company is offering a new interior design service throughout the UK - working directly with developers and builders to create show homes and furnish investment / rental units and are seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join the team and be responsible for this service.

This role requires an experienced, confident professional to design and dress interiors, manage clients and projects and seek new business opportunities. Additional duties may include the design and upkeep of the showroom(s) and planning, managing and styling photoshoots.

The ideal candidate will be university qualified with an art or design related degree. Professional Interior design experience is essential, preferably from a show home background. Excellent organisation, written and spoken English, numeracy, computer and customer facing skills are also required. Freelance / Part Time or Permanent work, depending on the applicant, can be offered.

Computer skills must include competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop. CAD and 3D modelling skills are desirable but not essential.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

Exhibition Organiser - Essex - up to £30,000 (V03698)

This company is one of the UK's premier designers and producers of contemporary domestic and hotel lighting. With a reputation for innovative designs, high quality manufacture and reliable performance, they have invested heavily in recent years and are based in Essex, near the Hertfordshire borders.

They are currently seeking an individual for a 12 month maternity cover contract to organise their exhibitions, on average about 20-25 per year (varying in size). They have a Junior Exhibition Designer who is responsible for designing the exhibitions, so they are looking for someone to cover the organisational element although if this person has good design and CAD experience then these skills can be utilised within the role.

The role will be varied and can include other aspects dependent on your strengths but will include coordinating the physical exhibition stand, liaising with their factories in China, liaising with marketing team to ensure all documentation is completed and organising graphics and vinyls required.

Person sought:

  • Experience in exhibition design or similar
  • Strong organisational skills
  • CAD skills, knowledge of SolidWorks would be great (you would then also be able to help design retail showroom boards)
  • Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (workload dependent, you may be required to support the graphics team with artwork, data sheets etc.)
