Are you interested in becoming a partner in an established business or are you dreaming of owning your own design company?

After 40 successful years, the founder of this boutique interior design business wants to start to step back and is looking for an experienced senior designer, future partner and/or shareholder. Their studio is based in Wiltshire but there is also an opportunity to share office space in Chelsea, London to build up a London client base.

You could be an ambitious interior designer or already own a complementary business to merge with or want to fast track a ‘start-up’ in the interior design field as a going concern. They have established clients, contacts and trade accounts with leading suppliers and trades. They also have fabulous live projects and lots of opportunity to evolve this established business further.

Their portfolio spans refurbishing and developing properties from shire to shore, from boutique hotels, holiday homes and home staging, offering interior architecture services, including project management for large private residences ranging from town houses in London to elegant country homes and cosy cottages.

Remuneration would be negotiable and ideally you would be qualified with a minimum of 10 years' relevant experience, predominantly in the residential sector,  with good CAD, design and FF&E skills.

This exciting new role has just come in that would be suited to a creative Interior Designer who has plenty of residential experience and is interested in changing the way Show Homes have been traditionally designed.

The company is a well-established and growing interior design, show home and flooring business that have an in-house soft furnishing production facility and a flooring business. They also design and commission bespoke furniture for their clients and along with a first class fabric library, they utilise the latest design software and are always looking to innovate.

You will be working on your own projects from brief through to installation and will need good client facing skills and be able to work on quick project turnarounds.

Person / Experience Required:

  • At least 4 years' relevant interior design experience
  • An entrepreneurial all-rounder
  • Excellent drawing and presentation skills
  • IT literate with knowledge of the Adobe CS
  • Organised with good project management skills

This family-run business has been working within the kitchen marketplace for many years and over the last couple of years has been refurbishing all of their Midlands based showrooms to a very high standard.

Due to natural growth and an increase in business again, they are seeking an additional Kitchen Designer. The role will allow flexibility with some home working and although all the leads will be provided, you must be able to and be prepared to drive to visit customers' homes.

Person / Experience Required:

  • Strong and proven track record with at least 3 years' kitchen design and sales experience
  • Able to work to strict deadlines and targets
  • A natural flair for design, presentation and customer service
  • Good IT skills and CAD literate (they use Compusoft Winner and EQ)
  • A confident, enthusiastic and self-motivated designer with a positive work ethic
  • Full driving licence essential

Based close to the M23 they are currently recruiting for an experienced hands-on Design Manager to head up their small technical design team. They are seeking a kitchen designer for the contract side of their business working with developers on mid-large scale developments. They supply Keller, Schumann and Astor kitchens and are hoping to add a UK bespoke brand next year.

This will be a Monday to Friday role in an office based environment. It is not a sales role.

They are a global leader in designing, producing and supplying product to clients from the FMCG, drinks trade, health and beauty and charity markets, specialising in point-of-sale, gift with purchase products and retail packaging.

The Role will entail:

  • Creating innovative gift products and packaging ideas for a wide range of brands
  • Creating trend lead illustrations and artwork

  • Supporting the design team in preparing artwork and design specifications

Person / Experience Required:

  • 1+ year of professional experience within the design industry
  • A relevant degree within graphic or product design

  • Enthusiastic and eager to learn new skills
  • An eye for creating attractive visuals, illustrations and presentations
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • A good awareness of different manufacturing and print techniques

Based on the West Sussex and Surrey Borders they are on the hunt for an experienced CAD Technician who understands joinery and manufacturing and who can liaise with clients. You will be both developing concepts for housebuilders and taking design drawings from architects / interior designers to develop them into detailed manufacturing drawings and issue them to the CNC machinist.

Person / Experience Required:

  • The ability to undertake the development of bespoke furniture from concept stage through to manufacture, including material and component specifications, production of prototypes and drawings
  • You must be able to use 3D software, CabinetVision would be an advantage
  • At least 6 years' industry experience within a similar environment
  • A high level of attention to detail will be expected and good technical draughting skills
  • You will possess the interpersonal skills to maintain customer-facing relationships and be able to advise them on design finishes
