They currently have a vacancy available for a Furniture Designer to take responsibility for the design and manufacturing procedures of projects, new supplier inventory, research of materials and finishes, attending client meetings and following up with the studio team.

Person / Experience Required:

  • Understand and be able to read space plans, floor finish plans, ceiling plans, elevations and details
  • Fluency in Rhino, InDesign, SketchUp and Excel
  • Good hand-sketching skills
  • Understanding of upholstery
  • Technical minded with knowledge of design and manufacturing processes

Due to increased business they are now looking to expand their CGI department and seek a 3D Visualiser with an interest in interior and furniture design to join their in-house visualisation studio which has earned a strong reputation for high quality images within the sector.

Working closely with the Marketing and Design departments, you will create photo real visualisations using 3DS Max and V-Ray that showcase their products in their very best light. You will have a passion for furniture and a natural eye for spotting interior trends that may be transferred to your visualisations.

Person / Experience Required:

  • Good understanding and working knowledge of 3D software: 3D Studio Max, V-Ray and Photoshop
  • Video editing knowledge would be advantageous as would a keen interest in Photography
  • Experience of using SolidWorks would be useful

This manufacturer creates joinery pieces for some of the finest and advanced commercial interiors being designed in the UK today. Operating nationwide from their factory and offices just outside London, they offer total management of joinery packages, from initial site survey through to installation.

They are currently seeking an experienced Technical Designer to work with their progressive team of designers and makers.

Objectives / Requirements:

  • Creating concept designs, rendering in KeyShot and turning them into ready-to-manufacture technical drawings for the in-house joinery workshop
  • Producing complete and checked technical drawings using Solid Edge 3D design software (Fluency in SolidWorks will be considered)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Accuracy in take offs for CNC milling and other outsourced material production will also be required directly from the CAD drawings
  • Connecting with joiners to discuss and get feedback on the practicality of joinery items designed, so hands-on experience from the joinery sector is needed and hands-on knowledge of manufacturing and assembling would be desirable
  • A genuine interest in the marketplace and a willingness to take part in interdepartmental discussions

Competitive remuneration and paid over-time. 22 days holiday increasing by 1 day every 2 years to a maximum of 25 days. Lunch is provided by the company and there is parking space on the premises.

With a busy workload they are seeking an individual who can take a concept from the interior designer or an architect's sketches, create the design and coordinate the project through the working drawing and detailing stages and on to production and installation of the final product.

  • Organising the detailed schedule of works

They work on both classical and contemporary interiors including dressing rooms, staircases and libraries, cinemas, wine rooms, games rooms and yachts and the role of Production Manager is pivotal to the smooth and efficient running of their workshops.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning production between multiple departments, across multiple locations
  • Making efficient and effective use of resources based on skillsets, availability and other factors
  • Ensuring effective flow between departments
  • Working with Project Managers and Department Heads to ensure they meet their clients' timescales and expectations
  • Assisting the Head of Operations with process improvements

Person / Experience Required:

The successful candidate will be a positive, enthusiastic and resourceful self-starter, who excels in planning, and understands the interdependencies between work, departments and critical path planning. Tenacity, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills are required to perform the role successfully.

The role could either be based in their design studio in Nottinghamshire or London.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated talented Surface Pattern & Print Design Manager who wants to make an impact on a variety of product categories, and see their influence shape the future of a well-established brand.

This is a key strategic role, the post holder must be capable of challenging, influencing, effectively managing relationships and leading and inspiring a team.

You will be responsible for the delivery of commercial trends that bring continuity across the look and feel of categories across the store, and using those trends to design product ranges across the brand.   • Excellent design skills demonstrating a creative approach
  • Proficient at using industry design software: AVA, Adobe software.

  • Assertive and confident, a confident decision maker with good project management skills
