Kitchen Showroom Administrator - London - up to £25,000 (V03827)

This independent kitchen retailer has a stunning showroom near Watford which spans nearly 3,000 square feet and has a large frontage. They cater for both London and Hertfordshire clients and showcase 12 kitchen displays with an array of appliances, refrigeration and wine cooler options.

Their customers can relax in their presentation areas whilst being shown a 3D tour of their kitchen design and children are entertained with a supply of toys and goodies.

Their showroom is back open with visits by appointment only and they are looking for a Kitchen Showroom Administrator to start as soon as possible. They are particularly keen to hear from past kitchen designers who are now interested in a purely admin role.

Main job role and experience required:

  • Reception, taking calls and enquiries so an excellent telephone and front-of-house manner is needed
  • Dealing with new customers so a friendly and professional approach is sought
  • Logistics, organising deliveries and remedials
  • Confirming and ordering appliances
  • Arranging and taking payments when due
  • Strong organisational skills will be required
  • Must have experience gained from a kitchen showroom

Salary: £20,000 to £25,000; Working hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

You will be responsible for the end-to-end customer experience, from initial design concepts, through to completion of sale. Person / Experience Required:

As one of the worlds leading artisans in professional home kitchens, this company takes pride in creating handcrafted pieces in their sleek industrial style, each kitchen showing off a bespoke design, sophisticated mechanisms and the experience of premium restaurant cooking.

They recently moved to a new centrally located showroom and are seeking an additional designer to join the team once the showroom can be reopened.

This role would suit a kitchen designer who has already had exposure to this marketplace and understands luxury products and how important attention to detail is. It will be a client facing role so your presence, communication and interpersonal skills will be important. Regular travel to clients, trade shows and to visit Head Office in Italy will be expected so the ability to speak Italian will be a distinct advantage.

There will be excellent chances of progression as they are still growing their coverage of the UK marketplace.

Person / Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 4 years' relevant experience
  • Qualifications in Interior Design or similar
  • Literate with the Adobe Creative Suite and ideally a CAD package
  • Professional and smart in appearance

Planning ahead they are looking for a Senior Furniture Designer with strong technical and CAD skills, good at coming up with solutions to intricate designs. 

Person / Experience Required:

  • The candidate will need good knowledge of historical furniture and architectural details as well as a flair for contemporary design
  • At least 10 to 15 years industry experience
  • Experience within the interiors marketplace able to use SolidWorks and/or Inventor and ideally AutoCAD
  • A basic knowledge of building structure would be an advantage
  • Excellent literacy and communication skills, both verbal and written

This British Company manufactures beautiful bespoke furniture, cabinetry and specialist joinery work for a global network of clients. Their large purpose-built manufacturing complex is home to traditional cabinet making, veneering, carving and gilding skills, complemented by modern design, manufacturing and finishing techniques.

They work on both classical and contemporary interiors including dressing rooms, staircases and libraries, cinemas, wine rooms, games rooms and yachts and have premises both in Norwich and nearer the coast. It is for the latter that they seek a Technical Furniture Designer for their growing design and technical team.

Objectives and requirements for the Furniture Designer:

  • To take a brief and/or sketched concept and work into production drawings and 3D CAD renders using SolidWorks
  • You will need at least 3 years' experience in a wood based environment - joinery, shopfitting or cabinet making
  • Liaising with other departments using your good communication skills
  • To work as part of a team to create effective working relationships
  • Appreciating the luxury end of the marketplace showing excellent attention to detail and careful considerations of materials and techniques

We are looking for a furniture designer to join our studio team. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate to join a design-led manufacturer and contribute to the design and development of new collections for the Hospitality, Cruise and Workplace markets.

Person / Experience Required:

  • You should be familiar with the top international furniture, lighting, fabric and interior design brands.
  • The experience and ability will be required to source new and modern collections and materials whilst at the same time being familiar with antique furniture and objects and modern art.
  • You will need previous experience working on high-end residential projects in a similar London studio or independently at a mid to senior level (6years+)

Your place of work will be their Studio located in West London, easily accessible with public transport. Working hours can be flexible.
