They are currently seeking an experienced person to take on the key role of Head of Design to ensure that design is at the heart of the Company’s activities by enabling creative input and motivation throughout the team and company.
 
Other main duties will be to:
  • Provide leadership and management of the design team
  • Evaluate and enable technology solutions to provide efficient communication and production
  • Deliver excellent customer service and ensure the best delivery of customer requirements

Senior Interior Designer - London - negotiable (V04117)

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Senior Interior Designer to join their busy studio in Shoreditch. 
 
The practice specialises in high-end residential, restaurant and marine interior design, working both locally and internationally. They are interested in an individual who is just as comfortable with sourcing and scheduling as they are with architectural detailing, leading projects from concept through tender and construction to FF&E Installation.
 
The Role and Responsibilities include:
  • Leading a number of projects, with the assistance of more junior members of the team
  • Delivering a seamless service to clients ensuring professional communication throughout
  • Leading client meetings and coordinating contractors, suppliers and services
  • Architectural drawing and detailing and preparing drawing packs for tenders
  • Sourcing furniture, antiques and art
  • Design of bespoke furniture including case pieces, upholstery and lighting
  • Developing detailed specifications and schedules
  • Budget creation and management
 
Skills and Experience needed from the Senior Interior Designer:
  • 7+ years’ post qualification experience of delivering high-end residential interior design schemes from concept through to completion
  • An excellent eye for detail, colour, and knowledge of antiques
  • Strong technical and construction knowledge
  • Highly organized and efficient
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite and MS Office Suite (experience in Estimac would be a plus)
  • Comfortable and confident working with high-profile figures, able to exercise discretion
  • Excellent verbal and written communications are also essential, as you will be liaising between multiple parties, including clients, sub-contractors and architects

Technical Retail Designer - Northamptonshire - up to £35,000 (V04115)

Our client is a forward thinking creative technical design consultancy working within the retail, leisure and hospitality industries. They offer a full range of services from conceptual design, through to technical design ready for manufacture and installation.
 
They currently have an opening for a Technical Retail Designer to join their growing team and become an integral part of their business development. They are open to either on-site or hybrid working.
 
Responsibilities for the Technical Designer will include:
  • Developing drawings from concept sketches to support new business projects
  • Producing drawings, specifications and BOMs for manufacture of prototypes and production rollouts
  • Working with the Design Manager at briefing stage to understand and agree brief and expedite the project management 
  • Creating credible renders using KeyShot or 3DS Max
  • Creating presentations and brand documents with use of Adobe Suite
  • Supporting the Project Manager on supplier briefs, test builds and equipment installations where necessary
 
Skills and Experience expected from the Technical Designer:
  • 2 to 3 years’ experience of technical design within the retail display or shop fitting industry
  • A good appreciation of the relevant manufacturing processes and materials to include metal joinery
  • A detail-oriented self-starter
  • Good interpersonal and time management skills
  • Fluent in Inventor or SolidWorks and ideally AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of other design tools such as Illustrator, Photoshop and Revit

Skills and Experience expected from the Cabinet Maker:

  • Experience with woodworking machinery and tools

Our client is an award-winning, growing company with craft at the core of their designs. Each kitchen is hand-made to order using traditional joinery techniques and the finest materials, ensuring it is built to last a lifetime.
 
They have created a new role with the potential for the position to develop into so much more for the right person. The role has a lot more involvement in the finer details of furniture manufacture, procurement and installation than the typical kitchen technical designer would be exposed to.
 
This role will be WFH but you should be based in Yorkshire close enough to travel regularly into Harrogate.
 
Your work will involve:
  • Using AutoCAD for technical drawings and design work
  • Facilitating the development of sign-off, setting out, procurement and production of furniture, including cabinetry, metal elements, stone elements and other custom materials and features
  • Mechanical and electrical drawings and installation drawings to aid site trades
  • Liaising with the design team and project managers
  • Working with private clients, architects, developers and interior designers
  • Occasional travel mostly to the showroom / studio in London and often to project sites, in order to attend meetings and to carry out site surveys and checks
Skills and Experience needed for the Junior Designer:
  • A good understanding of high-end custom furniture
  • Minimum of 1 years relevant work experience
  • Fluent in 2D AutoCAD
  • Experience in 3D work and 3D visualisation is a bonus but not essential
  • A proactive person with a 'self-starter' attitude
  • Own car and Driving Licence

They are currently seeking a Project Manager whose core responsibility is to profitably deliver projects from commissioning to completion, on time, to specification and always exceeding their clients’ high expectations. It will involve both UK and International travel.
 
 
The Project Manager should be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Leadership skills and self-motivation
  • At least 5 years in a project management role
  • Experience in presenting to and negotiating with clients
  • Fully able to deliver high-end and complex building and joinery works
  • A detailed understanding of building and timber technology, M&E / HVAC systems
  • Numerate and with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Their client list includes international interior designers, decorators and architects and are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Manager to manage the fabrics and wallpapers team based in Leicestershire. This is a new role with responsibility for the critical path and manufacturing of this division, ensuring the workshops are meeting lead times and quality expectations, goods in, stock levels and sampling requirements.
 
Duties and Responsibilities for the Production Manager include:
  • Maintaining a good understanding of the supply chain and sourcing of fabrics
  • Implementation of best practice and procedures and monitoring workshops against performance KPIs
