This role would suit an individual who thrives in a creative, client-focused environment. You’ll be at the forefront of our client’s business, working with a team of passionate professionals who specialise in designing, manufacturing, and installing high-quality bespoke interiors for both residential and commercial projects.

As a Designer, your primary responsibility will be to create and design high-quality bespoke freestanding and fitted furniture that matches clients' exact specifications, blending design flair with practicality. You’ll work closely with clients, ensuring their needs are met every step of the way, from initial concept through to successful project completion.

Key responsibilities include to:

  • Be the face of the company, building and nurturing relationships with clients, ensuring that all communication is clear, professional, and timely
  • Produce creative, functional designs that are both beautiful and practical. Attention to detail is essential in this role.
  • Manage your projects, from initial designs to final installation, ensuring deadlines are met, budgets are adhered to, and clients are delighted.
  • Work seamlessly with the rest of the design and production team, ensuring smooth project delivery and high standards.


Skills and Experience needed for the Designer role:

  • Accuracy is key, as their clients expect flawless designs.
  • You’ll be working with a variety of clients, so your ability to connect with people is essential.
  • A strong design eye with the ability to create bespoke solutions that match the client’s brief.
  • You’ll need to be comfortable with spreadsheets, emails, and documentation.
  • CAD knowledge is a plus but not a must.

This British manufacturer of beautiful bespoke furniture, cabinetry and specialist joinery has successful collaborations both in the UK and internationally with prominent private, professional and commercial clients working on for private residences, royal palaces and superyachts.

Due to continued expansion, they are seeking a full time, experienced Project Manager with a joinery background to join their team. The successful candidate will be managing large and often complex projects from point of order, through planning, design development, manufacture, and installation with the aim of delivering superb quality and service, on time and within budget. Projects range from highly decorative freestanding furniture through to significant architectural joinery installations with contract values up to £5m.

The role also entails line managing a small team which includes a Design Engineer and Draughtspersons.


Skills and Experience sought from the Project Manager:

  • A personable, positive, organised and resourceful problem solver with a good understanding of form and function and commercially aware
  • You should possess excellent interpersonal skills to work with a multitude of stakeholders and be able to communicate effectively across all levels
  • In-depth knowledge of joinery and an understanding of complex site installations
  • Able to use Microsoft Office Suite for the management of project information
  • Experience of managing people would be an advantage but not essential and training will be given if this is new to you

Our client is an award-winning, growing company with craft at the core of their designs. Each piece is hand-made to order using traditional joinery techniques and the finest materials, ensuring it is built to last a lifetime.
 
They have created a new role for a Furniture Designer with the potential for the position to develop into so much more for the right person. This will have involvement in the finer details of furniture manufacture, detailed drawings, procurement and installation. You will be working on fitted kitchens, tables, dressing rooms and home bars.
 
This role can be based near their workshop in Wiltshire or up near the Harrogate office. If Harrogate then the role can be hybrid.
 
Your work as a Furniture Designer will involve:
  • Using AutoCAD for technical drawings and design work
  • Facilitating the development of sign-off, setting out, procurement and production of furniture, including cabinetry, metal elements, stone elements and other custom materials and features
  • Mechanical and electrical drawings and installation drawings to aid site trades
  • Liaising with the design team and project managers
  • Working with private clients, architects, developers and interior designers
  • Occasional travel mostly to the showroom / studio in London and often to project sites, in order to attend meetings and to carry out site surveys and checks
Skills and Experience needed for the Furniture Designer:
  • A good understanding of high-end custom furniture
  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience
  • Fluent in 2D AutoCAD
  • Experience in 3D work and 3D visualisation is a bonus but not essential
  • A proactive person with a 'self-starter' attitude and strong time-management skills
  • Own car and Driving Licence
Salary on offer will be between £28k and £35k plus pension.
