Kitchen Designer - West Midlands - up to £35,000 (V04061)

This Kitchen retailer has a long track record of working within the kitchen marketplace and due to natural growth, a new showroom and strong referrals they are seeking two Kitchen Designers, one for each of their showrooms in South Birmingham.
 
Ongoing training will be provided enabling you to fully understand their product range and visit the customer’s home, listen to their ideas, design their dream kitchen and follow the whole process through to completion (the ordering and scheduling will be handled by a different team).
 
Skills and experience needed for the Kitchen Designer role:
  • Strong design and sales background within the independent kitchen marketplace
  • Good knowledge of kitchen products (ideally German) and appliances
  • Able to work to deadlines and targets
  • A natural flair for design, presentation and customer service
  • Good IT skills and CAD literacy (they use Compusoft Winner and EQ)
  • A confident, enthusiastic and dynamic individual with a positive work ethic
  • Full driving licence essential
Salary:

As a multi-disciplinary design-led practice our client boasts an impressive portfolio including blue-chip national and international clients specialising in all areas of the hospitality sector delivering projects throughout the UK and into Europe. Projects include bars, restaurants, hotels, casinos and cafes and they are based within easy commuting distance to London.
 
They currently have an opening for an Architectural Technician to join the team. This is a creative problem-solving, architectural design role for someone who has a good knowledge of building regulations and planning law to oversee compliance of the interior design team’s work undertaken. You will be detailing and lodging all local authority submissions from building regulations, planning and listed buildings to ensure all the work undertaken by the creative team is fully compliant. Knowledge gained through working on hotel and/or hospitality projects would be an advantage but not essential, more importantly is the ability to adapt to fast-track project delivery which can be varied from small scope to new builds.
 
They operate a development programme of review with a projection to an individual’s three-year target. Salary on offer is c£30k plus pension and use of a pool car for site visits.
Hours are 9am - 5.30pm, Mon- Fri.
 
Skills and Experience needed by the Architectural Technician: 
  • Experienced in a similar role with a good understanding of logistics for project delivery
  • Understanding of the RIBA work stages
  • An understanding of Health & Safety management in Construction
  • Clean Driving Licence
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar
  • Excel and Microsoft literate

They are currently seeking an additional experienced Interior Designer who can take a project and run with it through to completion and installation. This would require being able to present to clients and deliver projects on site working with the team.
 
 
Skills and Experience needed for the Interior Designer:
  • Able to work from concept to completion
  • Project Management experience
  • Have experience with managing client relationships and undertaking presentations
  • Knowledge gained ideally through working on hotel and/or hospitality projects
  • Architectural or design qualifications to degree or similar level
  • Clean Driving Licence
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar

This leader in hospitality interior design worldwide is consistently setting new standards for luxury, comfort and innovation on resorts and hotels. Their offices in Singapore continue to expand and they are looking for talented Designers to join their award winning design office. This will suit candidates with a curious mind and a desire to move into a new country with new opportunities.

You should have between 5 and 10 years' experience on large scale international hotels, spas and resorts, be creative and innovative and an excellent team player. Good CAd and technical knowledge will also be neede. For FF&E roles then it will be more about your knowledge of suppliers, specification and design furnishings for the hospitality sector internationally.
