This leading manufacturer of kitchens and bathrooms has built a reputation for quality craftsmanship. They supply into the new build and affordable housing sector and have a number of retail brands, which are sold in independent retailers throughout the UK. They also manufacture furniture for builders merchants and large DIY stores.

They are currently looking for both a permanent and a maternity cover kitchen designer to work from their head office as part of their creative team. You will be part of a company who are taking a leading role in enhancing customer experience through effective communication, design excellence and market expertise. This is not a sales based role.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Communicating with the customer and sales team
  • Creating high quality designs
  • Producing customer presentation packs
  • Achieving high quality output

Person / Experience Required:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good IT literacy and GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
  • An ability to work on own initiative
  • Motivated and enthusiastic
  • Experience of using Fusion 2020 software is ideal
  • Kitchen design experience is an advantage
  • Product knowledge is desirable

This busy and expanding contract and residential furniture company works throughout the UK and in Dubai and are seeking a Project Co-ordinator to join their team.

You will be working on a variety of projects, which include coordinating and managing the production of furniture for hotels and serviced apartments, and coordinating and managing high end residential furnishing projects. More specifically, it will involve putting together quotations, managing procurement, FF&E specification, planning / product drawings, presentation boards, coordinating and managing the project through to installation and after sales.

This is a good opportunity for a competent person with huge initiative to be part of a successful and growing furniture manufacturing company with over 30 years' experience in the industry.

Skills and experience:

  • A minimum of three years' relevant experience in FF&E
  • Experience of 4/5 star hotels and high end residential projects

Our client specialises in the design, development and manufacture of very high quality lighting and furnishing products. As a one of the leading suppliers to the interior designer and specifiers market their products have earned a reputation of being extremely well made and beautifully designed.

The company is looking for a Junior Product Designer with at least 12 months' workplace experience to join their small design team. You will need to be able to interpret a design brief, also reverse engineer from existing products and produce workable and accurate 3D models as well as technical production drawings for evaluation by their management team and ultimately reference for factory production.

Other Experience Required:

  • You will need fluency in working with SolidWorks and the Adobe Creative Suite as well as general technical design skills
  • An experience of working with similar product types and an understanding of the basic principles of manufacture in various metals, glass and ceramics is an advantage
  • Educated in a relevant degree discipline (Product Design, Design Engineering)
  • Good communication skills and experience of dealing with higher management
  • Some hand sketching and 3D prototyping experience will be advantageous

You will be overseeing and managing high quality bespoke furniture and interior products from the client's initial designs through to production. Candidates will be required to run projects both as an individual and as part of the production team in order to effectively meet deadlines.   • Candidates should have at least 2 years' experience in a similar position
  • Have a wide knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
