Not only do they design custom stands they also build them in-house offering a complete service to their clients. They are currently recruiting for an experienced Exhibition Designer working out of their offices in Kent. They are easily accessible with the high speed train from St Pancras and are close to the M20.

You should be an all-rounder experienced in the design of custom built exhibitions from brief to installation with excellent communication skills and strong client presentation skills. Knowledge of 3D packages is required, they use VectorWorks and 3D Studio and alongside creativity you should also have good technical skills.

This interior design company works for both private clients and developers within the London area. They are currently nearing completion on a very large residential refurbishment project in Hampstead and are about to embark on some new projects which include a hotel with 30 apartments, another large residential property, a pop up shop and a retail outlet all in London. The role will include: site surveys, drawing up of plans and layouts, elevations, building regs and assisting with other aspects of the detailed design work.

You will need good technical drawing and detailing skills and experience on residential projects. Qualifications in Architecture would be particularly of interest as would an interest in Interior Design. You should be literate in VectorWorks with your own computer / laptop and able to work self-employed on a contract basis.

This British based furniture and lighting design and manufacture company have their workshop and office premises in North London. Along with selling to individuals they partner with interior designers, architects and other retail companies to assist in creating unique lighting and furniture for their clients. Every piece is made to order and they offer a finishing and restoration service to the trade. The role will include creating new job briefs using the company software, responding to customer order enquiries, organizing shipping and deliveries, creating purchase orders, liaising with suppliers and assisting in management of daily flow of the workshop. This is a 4 day week role for maternity cover for approximately 9 months.

Degree level or equivalent, you will need at least 1 years’ experience in lighting design manufacture or the luxury goods industry and good international / cultural knowledge. Fluent in English, you should have a smart and professional personal presentation and confident telephone manner. Independent and self-motivated, this role will require a conscientious, calm manner and great attention to detail.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a growing design studio and support one of our major blue chip clients who is a market leader in the decorative paints sector, working on a high profile project for this leading brand. You will be managing the delivery of live colour consultancy through social media and other digital channels and will need to ensure everything we show, say and advise is relevant, engaging and increases consumer demand for our client’s products.

The ideal candidate will have an interior design / textile degree or equivalent qualification coupled with experience in a similar role where you will have demonstrated your colour / design expertise and understanding of trends. An applicable understanding of social media is also essential, ideally supported by some experience in customer services, sales or marketing. As for personal qualities, we are looking for flexibility, good organisational skills, the ability to express yourself well in presentations and in writing, as well as commercial acumen.

You will also need experience of working in a colour related capacity, delivering design / colour schemes and managing client relationships. This role is primarily office based at our headquarters and we have full time and part time opportunities with an immediate start date. This is a 3000 sq.ft. studio, a unique space and resource centre for architects and interior designers which showcases over 300 of the latest products and innovations and provides inspiration, information and space to research. The team offer practical advice to architects, designers, developers and private individuals in the planning and designing of bathrooms and washrooms for any project from luxury hotels to offices and residential properties.

You will be gaining experience by assisting the Manager in general duties within the facility ensuring it has full cover rotation, assisting in the general day to day running of the showroom in order to maximise and increase awareness and usage of their facility, for both internal and external customers.

The University of Warwick is one of the UK’s leading universities with a mission to establish themselves as a world leader in research and education and they are currently seeking an experienced FF&E project manager for their Estates department which plays a vital role in helping to achieve this goal by managing and growing the University’s land and property portfolio.

The role will involve managing a diverse range of projects including the specification and procurement of furniture for student residences, new office builds and space planning for existing departments through to common rooms/break-out room refurbishment for students and staff, classroom and lecture theatre upgrades.  The successful applicant will be involved with advising on colour schemes, room capacities, materials and equipment, and procuring furniture or equipment, sometimes in response to bespoke requests.

You will need to be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience of managing furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) projects along with a basic understanding of the construction industry.
  • Experience of FF&E procurement and using the supply contract, particularly within the ‘contract furnishing’ sector.
  • The ability to accurately define project requirements and assess the quality of proposals from manufacturers and suppliers.
  • A history of prioritising competing demands to ensure projects are delivered on time, to plan and within agreed budgets.
  • Competency in FF&E design standards, along with experience using the Microsoft Office suite, AutoCAD and Architectural Desktop to follow industry regulated health and safety and space management guidelines to produce layout drawings.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with the ability to explain technical information to multiple stakeholders, and to form strong working relationships with colleagues across the University.

In this busy and varied role you will be involved in interesting and challenging projects, from day to day revenue requirements up to major capital projects with a value up to approximately £2 million in both preconstruction and construction phases.
