Our client is a company with the vision and drive to create the world's finest decorative lighting. They have an impressive and enviable client list and a wide range of industry leading products which are specified by leading interior designers throughout the world.

They have ambitious and very exciting plans to grow their business and a design manager to lead their creative team is central to these plans. This will be an evolving role with great career prospects.

As Head of Creative you will be taking on a role as part of the senior management team and integral to both the design department and the business as a whole. They are therefore looking for someone who is naturally creative, passionate about design and good at strategic thinking, three things you will need to successfully develop and deliver exciting decorative interior lighting products.

You will take responsibility for the development process, from initial ideas to final details of the product and also play a major part in the presentation of their ranges across all media, exhibitions and other promotional platforms. The role will include the management of their full product range and to do this you will have passion for and a knowledge of current interior design trends, with an excellent understanding of the manufacturing and technical process to produce stunning decorative lighting.

Person / Experience Required:

  • A degree within an appropriate design discipline.
  • IT literate (Adobe and Microsoft), proficient in CAD (preferably SolidWorks)
  • Good hand drawing skills and sketching skills would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes from one off designs to small batch and high volume manufacture.
  • Have a great track record of bringing successful products to the market.
  • Experience of leading others having excellent interpersonal and motivating skills.
  • Plenty of enthusiasm and ideas.

This French luxury furniture boutique is seeking a Consultant / Interior Designer to join their team in their London Showroom. The role will predominantly focus on generating design service leads within the showroom and working with independent designers as well as introducing the company to architects and property developers.

Another part of the role will be to conduct home design visits to customers and specify all relevant products for the design project. You will manage your design orders from the onset to oversee the installation of the project, providing a turn-key solution to your customer. Working closely with the Designer Department at Head Office, you will also be responsible for the look and maintenance of showroom displays.

Person / Experience Required:

  • Qualifications in Interior Design.
  • At least three years in the same role or similar as a furniture consultant / designer with high end furniture stores
  • Fluent in English and good level in French
  • Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated
  • Sense of responsibility and initiative
  • Impeccable selling techniques and customer service

They have their main technical and design office in Hertfordshire and manufacturing plant in Derbyshire.

Main duties include:

  • To assist in producing detailed 3D designs using Autodesk Inventor (training will be provided), in creation of a library of standard components
