This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, driven person who is happy to take on both the role of senior designer and managing the studio when the owner is away. 

Senior Designer Duties Include:

• Meeting clients for an initial brief, preparing a design and quotation and presenting it in a professional manner
• Following the project through from point of sale to aftersales service with support from administrative staff
• Liaising with clients, architects and contractors on each project
• Excellent numerical skills essential for preparing client invoices and managing supplier invoices to ensure the profit margins are maximised
• Liaising with installation teams to book deliveries etc.
• Researching and entering industry awards
• Dealing with any journalist enquiries for feature articles. Forwarding images to journalists and putting them in touch with clients to arrange recce shots etc.

Studio Manager Duties Include:

• Managing junior staff and delegating effectively
• Being responsible for the everyday smooth running of the office

Person / Experience Required:

• Experience with high-end kitchens, preferably to include Hacker
• CAD literate with Fusion 2020 and Compusoft Winner would be an advantage
• Experience with a quoting system (they use KBBConnect)
• Proactive problem solver
• Experience of supervising others
• Professional attitude and excellent written skills required
• Able to build relationships with clients

The role is divided up into three main areas:

1. Existing product development: To continuously develop existing products using feedback from the market and internal teams and proactively develop the products to make them more user friendly for the installer, improve their aesthetic appeal and identify cost efficiencies.

2. New product development: To develop new products from ideas generated by the market, internal teams and management.

3. Bespoke project specific products: To design and draw project specific details for projects that require bespoke product and/or product components.

Within the group their brands and services cover all that is needed in interior design, furniture and furnishings, installation and styling. A new role has now been created which requires an experienced designer who is creative with a strong design focus. Most of the projects will be for the Build to Rent sector, within large scale developments in London and throughout the UK. This type of work requires design schemes for multiple units to be furnished with core furniture plus additional elements such as artwork and soft furnishings.

The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing their own projects from concept to installation, including dressing show apartments and communal spaces. This involves taking a client briefing document and translating this into a deliverable, costed and attractive design scheme that is presentable to the client.

Person / Experience Required:

• Organised with excellent attention to detail
• Commercially aware
• A confident team player with excellent communication skills for both internal and client related matters
• Residential (contract or commercial) interior design experience
• Proficient at working with Excel and InDesign
• Photoshop / VectorWorks would be desirable

The successful applicant will create accurate visual designs and produce final drawings with critical dimensions and annotations. As such, you will need to demonstrate initiative plus a flair for design and attention to detail. A good understanding of Word, Excel and social media is also required.

Equally important is that you will be highly motivated and ambitious with very good communication and people skills.

This vacancy is a 12 month contract for maternity cover and the salary will be £20,000 to £25,000 dependent upon experience plus commission.

Working as part of a small design team the Design Engineer's role will involve lots of close communication with both the Production team and external Sales team. You will be engineering new product ranges plus one-off specials and modified products; generating drawings, specifications and associated Bills of Materials; producing presentation work including conceptual models, 2D space plans and graphical documents.

Person / Experience Required:

• Degree, HND/HNC, or similar qualification in a related subject
• Advanced skills using SolidWorks on a day-to-day basis, ideally for at least 2 years
• Previous experience of using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office packages is preferred (training can be offered)
• Previous experience working in the furniture industry or with CNC machines would also be an advantage

The Project Manager position would suit a candidate who wants to contribute to a growing enterprise and be part of a fun, family led, often fast paced production company.

They are looking for a candidate who would be able to join in a more junior capacity and quickly move into the role, training will be provided. They are based near the Essex and Hertfordshire borders, with easy access to London.

Person / Experience Required:

• Background from a theatre / set design based course would be an advantage
• Some experience already gained in Project / Production Management, Stage / Event Management or Technical Theatre
• Project Management skills ideally working with a production workshop
