This small family run company specialise in Experiential Design, Production and Installation and are proud to count large brands and leading marketing agencies amongst their clients. Providing a range of services from exhibition stands, product launches and bespoke sampling stands to PR stunts, sampling bins and giant props, the company are theatrical in their approach and enjoys encouraging both clients and staff to be different.

The Project Manager will be working as part of small Project Management team and the position would suit a candidate who wants to contribute to a growing enterprise and be part of a fun, family led, often fast paced production company. You will gain fast, hands on experience assisting the existing Project Management team and then quickly moving to handling smaller projects working directly with new and existing clients.

Person / Experience Required:

  • Background from a theatre based course ideally
  • Experience in Project / Production Management, Stage Management, Event Management and/or Technical Theatre
  • Project Management skills including working with a production workshop
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Able to manage and realise projects from costings for budgets through to installation
  • Must be able to effectively liaise with and manage clients and their expectations
  • Ability to maintain a high level of quality control along with a cost effective, best practice and ecological approach

Detailed Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity to join our in-house design team. We are looking for a furniture design engineer who will work closely with the design team across a variety of projects. This will include sourcing & researching materials and developing collections for manufacturing within our UK factory and with our external partners globally.

Key Responsibilities / Main Duties:

  • Product Development
  • Working closely with the Concept Designer to produce detailed technical and component drawings taking projects from concept design through to working prototypes and final manufacturing
  • Liaising with the prototyping department to get full scale prototypes developed in line with manufacturing and design requirements
  • Working closely with internal and external manufacturing teams to ensure projects are successfully developed to final production
  • International travel to external manufacturing sites
  • Store Layouts / Exhibitions. Working from a creative brief to produce exhibition and store layouts, to include 2D plans and 3D visual representations
  • Managing the library of documentation for the Sales team to communicate visual brand presentation through retail channels
  • Candidate's Profile
  • The successful candidate for the Furniture Design Engineer role is likely to be a furniture design graduate, with some hands on experience either within furniture design, or within space layout roles. They will have solid experience within Adobe Creative Suite 6, particularly InDesign and Photoshop and will be comfortable using 3D applications including SolidWorks.
