A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a growing design studio and support one of our major blue chip clients working on some high profile projects for one of the UK’s leading brands.
The ideal candidate will be qualified, self-motivated, proactive and ambitious with a proven track record in the commercial interior design arena. You will have previous experience of residential / office / healthcare / hospitality / leisure design and will be proficient in using AutoCAD and 3D rendering packages as well as the MS Office suite.
The right candidate should be commercially astute with extensive product and supply knowledge. You must also have experience in leading and managing multiple middle-sized to large design projects simultaneously from writing the proposal to pitching for projects and producing design concepts, space plans, budget proposals and product specifications through to project installation and completion.
This role is primarily office based at our headquarters but travel to / from clients throughout the UK is essential so access to a vehicle on a regular basis for business use is imperative.

Our client is one if the UK's leading furniture import companies, specialising in high quality furniture for the middle market supplying containers of furniture direct from China to a variety of UK retailers.
A new role has arisen for a Furniture Designer / Buyer reporting to the Owner MD and key responsibilities will include:
The position is based in the Rugby Office however the successful candidate must be prepared to travel to Europe and the Far East on a regular basis.
Experience of furniture design covering wood, metal and fabric is essential as is understanding and interpreting the needs of the consumer and retailer and putting those into practical and commercial furniture solutions. Working closely with factories (currently in China) the individual must have a clear understanding of bills of materials to include labour and parts.
The designer will naturally be up to date with trends, designs and styles of the furniture market. Experience of Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk vault or a comparable 3D modelling software as well as Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and Word will also be required. The person should be comfortable and able to communicate and present ideas and proposals internally and externally to independent and major retailers.
Our client is a "one stop shop" for all the furniture, fittings & equipment requirements for student accommodation and educational projects. They are a project engineering based company that have evolved from a furniture consultancy, design and life cycle background. Based in West Yorkshire they are seeking an FF&E Designer to design and plan the layouts, specify and procure all FF&E elements. There might also be some design involved for fitted and loose furniture.
With 2+ years’ experience of space planning using AutoCAD, Solidworks for the creation of 3D models and furniture design, would be useful but not essential. Organised and able to handle suppliers and arrange orders, experience of working in a similar environment or with contractors would be a bonus.

This award winning kitchen design and manufacturing company has a showroom in West London and a workshop and another showroom in South West London. They are currently seeking an experienced CAD technician who can produce 2D and 3D layout and visuals. This role plays a vital part in their company working with their kitchen designers to gain the client’s order. This role will be based at the Showroom in SW London.
You will need at least 2 years’ UK experience working as a CAD technician on joinery / cabinetry / fitted kitchens and have excellent communication- verbal and written. Able to work as part of a team and on your own you will need to be fluent in AutoCAD with knowledge of VirtualWorlds a bonus.

They are currently searching for an ambitious sales professional with experience in the residential development market ideally with an established network of contacts with developers.
With great communication skills and the ability to liaise with people at all levels you should have the ability to form a sales strategy to attract new customers and carry out cold calling. The role would involve travelling to clients and a driving licence is therefore essential.

All candidates should be able to produce accurate technical drawings for the production of bespoke furniture, be self-motivated, organised and a clear thinker. You will need at least 5 years’ relevant experience and be fluent in AutoCAD. An understanding of furniture construction would be an advantage as would knowledge of 3D programs, but not essential.

With an engineering / product design degree you should have strong experience (minimum of 7 years) in the design of fixturing display equipment or similar products using value engineering in metal, wood, plastics and print. You will need to demonstrate the ability to lead and motivate a team of design engineers, with clear communication skills and be an organised, process driven Individual who can anticipate potential issues and recommend appropriate corrective action.

They have a comprehensive range of interior design services and can create and manage any project from designing or supplying a single item of furniture to undertaking a complete refurbishment. One of their designers is going on maternity leave at the end of February so they are looking for a designer experienced in showhomes and private clients for a years’ contract.
Applicants will need at least 3 years design experience to include both showhomes and private residential, have excellent communication and client facing skills and be extremely organised. IT literate, you should be competent in Powerpoint and CAD.

They are currently seeking an experienced person with technical knowledge of furniture construction and production methods to join their Production team as a Project Co-ordinator. The role will involve overseeing and managing the production of high quality bespoke furniture and interior products including developing briefs from clients, sourcing and liaising with suppliers, producing technical drawings and planning work schedules.
Candidates should be well organized, able to manage multiple projects and have a wide knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes. You will need excellent 2D and 3D CAD skills with an eye for proportion, detail and design. In addition to practical skills you will need to be able to liaise with and source manufacturers and co-ordinate transport and logistical issues.
