This company has great expertise in delivering a total solution for the retail sector from design, manufacturing and supply chain services to fit-out, installation and store opening. They work in partnership with many of the biggest retailers in the UK and Ireland, taking a creative, problem-solving approach to delivering tailored programmes to achieve their objectives. They are now seeking a Technical Design Manager to manage a team of technical engineers. Alongside the man-management aspects the role will include managing resources and scheduling, ensuring innovate, accurate designs are produced, provide progress updates, forward planning reports and travel to Europe and ASIA for supplier and client facing.

With an engineering / product design degree you should have strong experience (minimum of 7 years) in the design of fixturing display equipment or similar products using value engineering in metal, wood, plastics and print. You will need to demonstrate the ability to lead and motivate a team of design engineers, with clear communication skills and be an organised, process driven Individual who can anticipate potential issues and recommend appropriate corrective action.

They have a comprehensive range of interior design services and can create and manage any project from designing or supplying a single item of furniture to undertaking a complete refurbishment. One of their designers is going on maternity leave at the end of February so they are looking for a designer experienced in showhomes and private clients for a years’ contract.

They are currently seeking an experienced person with technical knowledge of furniture construction and production methods to join their Production team as a Project Co-ordinator. The role will involve overseeing and managing the production of high quality bespoke furniture and interior products including developing briefs from clients, sourcing and liaising with suppliers, producing technical drawings and planning work schedules.

Candidates should be well organized, able to manage multiple projects and have a wide knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes. This long established leader in interior design for show homes, hotels and private clients are based near Bristol and Bath and employs around 50 people working on high quality projects in each of its sectors. It is recognised as a Bronze Award Winner, Investor in People. They are exceptionally busy and need to expand their design / project management capacity with vacancies for both a middleweight interior designer and a senior interior designer.

The designers have full project responsibility from start to finish, yielding a high level of job satisfaction.

With a minimum of 3 years’ experience in residential / hotel design, you should have excellent interpersonal skills, able to present to clients, both private and corporate. Articulate with excellent English, qualifications in design, you will also need a good knowledge of fabrics, furnishings and be spatially aware with an eye for colour and detail.

Pay and conditions are good and include an element of bonus based on company and individual trading results. Additionally they offer flexitime and 29 days hols (incl. Bank Holidays) rising to 33 days with service.

The ideal candidate will be degree qualified in Product / Industrial Design with a minimum of 1 years work experience within a relevant professional environment. Knowledge of SolidWorks software is preferable although other 3D CAD packages will be considered. An interest in design, preferably within construction or architecture will be needed as will excellent communication, problem solving skills and attention to detail. This is a fast paced environment and therefore this is a role for a self-motivated, methodical person who demonstrates the ability to work both independently and within a team, on multiple projects simultaneously. Due to their location a driving licence is essential.

Their designers, cabinet makers, project managers, veneerers, finishers and fitters are experts in each of their various fields and are passionate about their work. They are currently seeking a CAD operator who can demonstrate that they are able to competently work within the high end residential market. The role is to be a catalyst to achieving accurate detail drawings incorporating design for manufacture and a key part is to be able to work with internal customers within the business.

They are currently looking to recruit a 3D photo realistic visualizer, with an eye for detail and image composition and with a working knowledge of the fundamentals of 3D product visualisation. The applicant should possess all the necessary skills to produce highly accurate 3D representations of products or interior schemes to show the products off in their best light.

Able to use industry standard 3D software and a working knowledge of global illumination is essential as is hand visualization skills such as sketching and marker rendering. A self-starter you will need effective communication and interpersonal skills, meticulous and very organised.
