They need creative, experienced freelance designers who have an amazing eye for detail, are personable, and have the ability to bring a client's vision of their home improvement to life across Kent, Sussex, Hampshire, Essex and Bedfordshire.

Based from home, you'll be expected to support local clients through their concept, from design to installation whilst being mindful of budget and aspiration. Drawing plans, advising on fittings & fixtures, as well as determining pricing options will be an essential part of your skill set.

To succeed, you'll have direct experience of working on a range of residential projects, as well as having the passion to convert a client's everyday space into their dream room.

An experienced Lighting Designer is sought by this specialist in the design and manufacture of high quality lighting and furnishing products. As a prominent supplier to the interior design and specifiers market, their products have earned a reputation of being extremely well-made and beautifully designed. Newly relocated to the middle of Hampshire, they are looking for a highly organised, commercially minded design team manager, who has a background in product design and engineering.

This is a pivotal role within the organisation and you will need to be able to manage and coordinate the department's varied workload, communicate with suppliers as well as be the central point of contact for product development with all other departments in the company.

Person / Experience Required:

  • 4 years' design experience within a relevant field
  • Proven history of working with SolidWorks and the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Able to produce clear and concise technical production drawings
  • Experience of developing and taking a product from concept through to completion
  • Experience of working with similar product types and an understanding of the basic principles of manufacture in various metals, glass and ceramics

This Brewery is expanding their in-house design team to achieve their goal of becoming the most exciting brewery in the North, to run the most exciting pubs and to create the best career paths in the industry.

As a Senior Interior Designer you will be handling refurbishments, upgrades and the expansion of new premises. You will have the autonomy to try new ideas and your final designs and finish of projects will be integral to the look, feel and success of each individual pub.

Managing multiple projects at any one time, it will be up to you to plan and prioritise assignments to ensure the best outcome and use of time. You will report directly to the Property Director and will work closely with their Managed / Tenanted houses, Customer support and Finance teams.

There will be a mixture of in-house and outsourced development, dependent upon size and responsibilities will include:

  • Providing alternative sketch solutions in response to the design brief or appointing an outsourced development team
  • Presenting schemes and providing accurate anticipated costs
  • Preparing / overseeing detailed design drawings and submitting for planning and building regulations plus licensing
  • Preparing and presenting colour / mood boards
  • Preparing tender documentation and sending out to competitive tender
  • Controlling costs and timings throughout the construction phase and managing suppliers accordingly

Person / Experience Required:

  • You will be a self-starter, pro-active in nature and have excellent design and project management skills
  • You will have extensive architectural / interior design experience within hospitality / pub design
  • Design related degree or equivalent
  • The ability to demonstrate a sound working knowledge of building construction
  • Knowledge and ability to use CAD would be an advantage
  • Regional travel is key to the role so mobility will be a must
