They are looking for a Designer to work within the Design Team on high-end residential projects, so an understanding of high specification detailing and an eye for accuracy are important. Training and mentoring will be provided as you develop your career within this vibrant and expanding company.

Summary of skills and experience needed:

  • 2D & 3D CAD proficient with experience using AutoCAD and SketchUp
  • At least 1-2 years' experience in a design role - a similar industry would be preferable
  • Competent in preparing technical drawings from sketches
  • Ability to use initiative
  • Self-motivated with good organisational skills and able to manage workload effectively
  • An active interest in home technology and Audio Visual Equipment is a must

A Design and Projects Manager is sought by this designer and manufacturer of seating for auditorium and concourse venues. They offer a wide range of market focused and design-led products delivering prestigious projects both in the UK and overseas.

This role involves the day-to-day management of departmental issues; delivering project design proposals; managing the production of prototypes and samples; project managing the expectations of each job and leading the design and project team.

The successful candidate will need to have a high degree of capability in design (preferably in a furniture related area), project management and customer liaison.

Other requirements are:

  • Degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Product Design with a strong technical bias and experience in building interior products / furniture.
  • Qualification or extensive experience in Project Management.
  • 5 years' experience of successfully managing a design team and delivering complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge to industry standard of 2D and 3D CAD; preferably SolidWorks and AutoCAD and the ability to present design proposals.

This company creates beautifully designed handmade curtains, blinds and accessories working with interior designers, private clients and property developers.

With a very heavy workload and plenty of new orders coming in they are looking to employ a trainee Project Manager with a background and genuine interest in interior furnishings. They are also interested in talking to people who have a proven track record of Project Management.

To begin with (unless you come in at a more experienced level) you will sit with a Project Manager and learn the following, working on smaller jobs initially before moving up to larger jobs:

  • Training to use their in house Curtain / Blind Quoting System
  • Sending out estimates
  • Liaising with Customers on fabric choices and finishes
  • Attending site meetings for more complicated jobs
  • Writing worksheets for the makers
  • Going out and meeting potential customers (after knowledge has been built up)
  • Ordering fabrics, hanging systems from suppliers using their in-house ordering system
  • Communicating with fitters

Person / Experience Required:

  • A good level of further education including a strong grasp of maths and a very good eye for detail
  • Must be able to multi-task and be comfortable with working on different projects at the same time
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Good communication skills are required as you will need to converse with the customer directly

The FF&E Procurement Coordinator will be working on a variety of projects simultaneously with full responsibility for the management of the FF&E process - coordinating, administering, researching, pricing, ordering, monitoring, recording and supporting the design team.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and monitoring all aspects of the FF&E process
  • Preparing project programmes to ensure goods are ordered and delivered on time
  • Monitoring budgets
  • Liaising with designers, site managers and suppliers of FF&E items
  • Researching and sourcing new FF&E products and suppliers
  • Issuing requests for quotes, analysing and negotiating best terms
  • Managing the shipping process
  • Formulating reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs, scheduling

Requirements:

  • A minimum of three years' relevant experience in FF&E
  • Experience working on hotels and high-end residential projects
  • Impressive knowledge of a wide range of suppliers and their products
  • Ability to work within budgets and to apportion expenditure wisely
  • Excellent PC skills and good working knowledge of Excel
  • Great initiative and resourcefulness
  • Working knowledge of EstiMac's interior design business software would be an advantage

This Brewery is expanding their in-house design team to achieve their goal of becoming the most exciting brewery in the North, to run the most exciting pubs and to create the best career paths in the industry.

As a Senior Interior Designer you will be handling refurbishments, upgrades and the expansion of new premises. You will have the autonomy to try new ideas and your final designs and finish of projects will be integral to the look, feel and success of each individual pub.

Managing multiple projects at any one time, it will be up to you to plan and prioritise assignments to ensure the best outcome and use of time. You will report directly to the Property Director and will work closely with their Managed / Tenanted houses, Customer support and Finance teams.

There will be a mixture of in-house and outsourced development, dependent upon size and responsibilities will include:

  • Providing alternative sketch solutions in response to the design brief or appointing an outsourced development team
  • Presenting schemes and providing accurate anticipated costs
  • Preparing / overseeing detailed design drawings and submitting for planning and building regulations plus licensing
  • Preparing and presenting colour / mood boards
  • Preparing tender documentation and sending out to competitive tender
  • Controlling costs and timings throughout the construction phase and managing suppliers accordingly

Person / Experience Required:

  • You will be a self-starter, pro-active in nature and have excellent design and project management skills
  • You will have extensive architectural / interior design experience within hospitality / pub design
  • Design related degree or equivalent
  • The ability to demonstrate a sound working knowledge of building construction
  • Knowledge and ability to use CAD would be an advantage
  • Regional travel is key to the role so mobility will be a must
