Our client is a busy Interior Design Consultancy looking to expand by taking on an experienced Showhome Designer. Working with independent builders and national builders you will be producing showhouses across the country.

Key day-to-day tasks will include:

• Developing initial ideas and acquiring key information about potential projects, discussing requirements in detail with clients and setting project schedules
• Sourcing and specifying products and materials according to set budgets
• Researching and gathering information relating to the project
• Producing comprehensive mood boards for presentation to clients
• Having responsibility for multiple projects from design through to installation and styling
• Preparing detailed working drawings, designs, plans and schemes
• Supervising work at the design stage and on site
• Keeping up to date with new developments and design trends within the industry

Clients are a mix of high net worth individuals, niche house builders and property developers. Based in Hitchin, North Hertfordshire; the Company (established 25 years ago) is innovative, ambitious and is about to enter an exciting new phase in its development.

As part of the expansion, they are looking to recruit another CAD Technician to join a growing team who lead the back-end of the production process. An understanding of construction to aid the factory workers in bringing their designs to life is desirable and 3+ years experience in furniture design and manufacturing is essential. Fluency in Cabinet Vision will also be needed and an understanding of the Screen to Machine aspect of the program vital.

Communication skills will be important as the role can involve interacting with the Designers, the Head of Production or the Managing Director on a daily basis. The ability to manage your workload to achieve deadlines is also key.
