This company has earned a global reputation for the design and manufacture of furniture solutions for high technology and office environments.
 
With their origins in the trading and command and control room sectors, they are now also a recognized supplier of workstations for general office environments and seek an additional technical designer to expand their team and work closely with the internal business teams and the Design Manager.
 
You will be preparing drawings for the purposes of pre-sales, production and installation, creating BOMs, preparing mock-ups and product customisation and providing client facing technical support with the Sales Teams.
 
Skills and Experience needed for the Product Design Engineer:
  • 5+ years' relevant experience
  • The individual must be a self-starter, demonstrate critical thinking and attention to detail
  • Experience of value engineering
  • An excellent verbal, written and visual communicator with the persona to collaborate with clients
  • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and timber panel manufacture
  • Previous space planning experience and knowledge of the office interior fit out process 
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Solid Edge (or similar 3D modelling) with the Adobe Creative Suite beneficial
Salary:

This young and vibrant Interior Design Consultancy work with both private high-end residential and commercial clients, offering a bespoke service covering interior architecture, design, styling and furnishing. Increasingly busy with lots of exciting new projects starting they are looking for an additional Interior Designer to join their team. 
 
You will be helping to put schemes together with technical drawings, joinery packages, mood boards, CAD plans and layouts. You will also be liaising with suppliers and ordering FF&E items. This would suit an interior designer who is at a mid-weight level and seeking a role with varied responsibilities with room to grow and take on their own projects.
 
Person / Experience Required:
  • CAD proficient, VectorWorks proficiency would be an advantage
  • Interior Design qualified
  • The ability to produce working drawings for construction would be a preference
  • Experience to include working on residential interior design projects
  • Technically minded but also with a creative flair
  • Good communication and organisation skills
 
Although they are based near a station, they would prefer the candidate to have their own car for the occasional visit to clients, suppliers and their warehouse. Salary on offer is likely to be between £30k and £35k.

Our client integrates thoughtful and transformative lighting design into interiors, architecture, landscapes and related systems. Most of their projects are high-end and large within the hospitality and retail sector.
 
They are currently seeking a CAD Technician to carry out all technical aspects of the projects including: Technical drawings, CAD layouts, Layers and Xrefs, Plotting and Templates, Sheet Sets and Tables. They are not tied by a preconceived contract or hours so are open to a contract, part-time or full-time person and can be flexible with hours as they know how important the work life balance is.
 
In return they are looking for the following skills and attributes:
  • Excellent 2D AutoCAD knowledge
  • General Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook ability
  • Relevant work experience within the architectural, interiors or building sector

Our client is a well-established bespoke lighting business and they are looking for a Product Designer to take on the role of Product Manager to join their team and help expand its operations.
 
As Product Manager you will be the lead point of contact for the Project Manager and the Head of Product, taking enquiries and orders through the production process and liaising internally with the factory and also with outside suppliers. This is not a senior man-management role but has product responsibilities and the potential to progress.
 
Other responsibilities for the Product Manager include to:
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives
  • Develop and deliver a project plan to monitor and track supplier progress
  • Provide design expertise at enquiry stage to produce concept designs, component drawings and final production drawings
  • Liaise with staff internally to provide design and commercial assistance on new and existing enquiries and ranges
  • Review supplier drawings and technical information
  • Help create supporting product documents such as assembly instructions and supporting website information
  • Help create supporting work for products such as packaging ideas, organising product testing, organising samples etc.
 
Skills and experience needed for the Product Manager:
  • Organised, able to manage multiple concurrent tasks and good at setting priorities
  • Proficient in AutoCAD with SolidWorks and Rhino useful. Rendering skills are a must and Photoshop useful
  • Strong product design skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Creative and inquisitive with a passion for design
  • Personable and professional, able to build relationships with suppliers, clients and colleagues
  • Ideally experience of the decorative lighting business, if not then of decorative homeware, furniture etc.
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Logical thinker and problem solver
 
Salary and Benefits:
 
In return you will have the chance to work on some very prestigious projects. The salary will be £30k to £35k plus pension plan and life insurance. Hours are 8.00am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

Knowledge of Revit would be advantageous but not essential as they would consider proficiency in AutoCAD with a willingness to learn Revit instead.

Our client is a supplier of furniture to the commercial interiors sector working with well-known clients in the Technology, Media, Legal and Finance industries. They have offices in the UK, Europe and Africa and it is for the London office that they are seeking a junior interior designer for. 

You will be working to deliver a number of international projects running simultaneously under the guidance of a lead designer. To deliver these projects, you will be engaging with key stakeholders across various departments throughout all stages of a project. Day to day tasks include space planning, creating product specification packs, visualising settings, product take-offs, as well as creating supporting presentational documents. 

This role will allow you to learn and develop your product knowledge and skills, working on a client account that provides varied opportunities and unique challenges.  

Skills and Experience needed by the Interior Designer:

  • At least 1 years' commercial design experience (can be as a work placement student)
  • Able to demonstrate an assertive, self-starting approach
  • Problem solving mindset and eagerness to show initiative
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
