This Interior Design Consultancy specialises in designing and installing interiors for Showhomes, Hotels, Retirement Homes and Private Clients. They have a team of talented in-house professionals which includes designers, soft furnishers, stylists, picture-framers and fitters. 
 
As an Interior Designer / Project Manager your main remit will be to design, procure, specify and deliver furniture, furnishings, lighting and interior products for Interior Design and Showhome projects. They are a very family-friendly business and flexible about working hours, have a low turnover of staff and plenty of repeat business from their clients.
 
Skills and Experience sought for the Interior Designer / Project Manager:
  • At least 4 years’ experience in residential interior design, ideally to include Showhomes
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Good project management skills
  • Articulate with excellent English, both spoken and written
  • Good knowledge of fabrics, furnishings, spatially aware with an eye for colour and detail
  • Knowledge of CAD (they use AutoCAD), Photoshop and InDesign
  • UK Driving Licence
 
Salary and Benefits:
Salary is likely to be between £30k and £35k with paid overtime. They have a good company pension scheme, a half yearly bonus (up to 10% of salary) and staff discounts from suppliers.

Product Design Engineer - Buckinghamshire - up to £30,000 (V04018)

Well-known for creating finely detailed and high-quality commercial furniture for the workplace, our client is currently seeking a Product Design Engineer to work on a variety of prestigious and challenging projects. The role will require close communication with both the design and production team so you will be working mainly in the office although there is the possibility for some flexibility.
 
The successful applicant will be responsible for working on all the engineering aspects of standard and bespoke products for customer approval and manufacture. This will involve the generation of CAD models, production drawings, manufacturing detailing for the CNC machines and helping to refine value engineering and new solutions to the drawing and production process.
 
This role will evolve around the individual’s strengths and skills with opportunities down the line to be involved in design, presentation and visualisation work if of interest.
 
Skills and experience needed for the Product Design Engineer:
  • At least 1 year of experience from the furniture, product or industrial engineering sectors
  • Strong drawing and technical detailing skills
  • SolidWorks is essential, AutoCAD and 3D Studio an advantage but not a necessity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A high level of initiative and organisational ability would be expected with good problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of CNC machining would be useful

Key responsibilities for the Senior Interior Designer:
  • Managing a team of Designers working on the client’s new stores
  • Responsible for the production of and consistency of the schematic / feasibility layouts and full drawing packs
  • Responsible for keeping up to date with the client’s manual & design developments
  • Liaising with the supply chain for design development, procurement, quotes, stock etc.
  • Creative ideas for new concepts and evolution of design development
  • Project Management and workload planning
 
Skills and experience required for the Senior Interior Designer:
  • Experience working in a similar supervisory Interior Design role
  • Experience of designing projects in the hospitality sector
  • Able to liaise with clients, contractors and multiple stakeholders
  • Conversant with Microsoft Office, Adobe CS, AutoCAD and SketchUp
  • An understanding of the whole design process from brief to completion
  • Ability to provide creative solutions whilst also meeting technical requirements
  • Good project management ability
  • Strong analytical planning and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal skills, a clear and confident communicator
In return the salary on offer is between £40k to £50k with some hybrid working opportunities. There is also Perkbox membership and a Pension scheme. They have a car park and the office can also be reached by public transport.

The role of Junior Designer & Space Planner is to work within their in-house design team supporting a wide variety of different clients by helping to provide them with deliverable design solutions by applying their brand and visual identity standards across their network of facilities. The role is UK based, with the opportunity of hybrid working from their offices in West Yorkshire and from home should this be preferred.
 
Key Responsibilities for the Designer & Space Planner:
  • Creating space / floor plans, elevations and sections in AutoCAD from design intent through to feasibility and construction phases
  • Interpreting visual identity / corporate identity guidelines and applying the design principles consistently across all of the projects that you are involved with
  • Creating photo overlays to convey the detail requirements of a design proposal
  • Presenting schemes for review and checking the design parameters
  • Making suggestions as to how to improve designs to create the right solutions for the space
 
Skills and Experience required for the Designer & Space Planner:
  • Proficient in 2D AutoCAD, Photoshop and InDesign
  • Able to understand and interpret a customer journey
  • Excellent organisational skills plus the ability to multi-task and prioritise projects to meet deadlines
  • Some experience already gained in commercial space planning
 
In return you will have the chance to work with some major brands and as a global business with offices around the world, there could be future opportunities to work abroad.
 
Salary will be between £23k to £25k (although they may also be looking for a more experienced Designer as well which would naturally be on a higher salary), plus 25 days holiday + bank holidays, contributory pension, Mental Health Support Service and free onsite parking.

Since 1994 Chamber Furniture have been designing, manufacturing and installing handmade bespoke fitted furniture. We combine the finest materials with outstanding craftsmanship and the highest level of service.

We currently require an experienced Fitter for the installation of our bespoke high-end fitted joinery including Kitchens. Bedrooms, Studies and Wine Rooms.

The ideal candidate will be experienced, polite, used to working to the highest standards, able to work under pressure and to deadlines. You must hold a full UK driving license.

You will be based from our factory in Halstead, Kent. Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5pm and it can be on an Employed or a Self-Employed basis.

Competitive Salary is on offer dependent on experience.
