As one of the leading kitchen brands globally, our client specialises in designing and installing tailor-made luxury kitchens and wardrobes in Dubai. They provide excellent service, a friendly and experienced approach to projects and are constantly looking at sustainability and the use of evolving technologies.

With a busy renovation market in Dubai they are now searching for a Kitchen Designer to join their team. You will be responsible for the end-to-end customer experience, from initial design concepts, through to completion of sale. They are looking for someone with a natural warmth and friendliness and with a highly professional approach to business.

Person / Experience Required:

  • Experience from the contemporary kitchen design sector using European brands
  • Highly personable and a great communicator
  • Experience in coordinating the customer journey from concept through project management to installation
  • Proven sales track record and able to close deals
  • Strong design ability and design software aptitude
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Social media savvy with an understanding of the importance of both company and personal branding

On offer is a good salary (tax free) plus commission, mobile phone, work permit and health insurance.

This company is a British design-led kitchen and furniture brand and offer a contemporary take on kitchen and furniture design, influenced by their heritage and led by creative innovation central to their design and making process.

They have a few openings left in their latest new showroom due to open soon and are particularly interested in applications from candidates early on in their career with further training provided.

Roles and Experience Required:

  • Kitchen Designer (client facing, sales, design and technical drawing role) - professional, well-presented, motivated and CAD literate with good communication and customer service skills gained within the kitchen industry.
  • Sales Consultant (front of house, lead generating and welcoming clients) - professional, well-presented with strong customer service and sales skills gained from working with mid to luxury end brands

The showroom will be open 7 days a week so you will be working a 5 day week on a rota basis, virtual interviews will be held once CVs and Portfolios have been considered.

Salaries:

Kitchen Designer - c£20k plus commission, OTE c£80k
Sales Consultant - c£25k plus commission

The company is looking for a Junior Product Designer to work on the design and development of new product ranges as well as the improvement of existing products. This will include developing new products, reverse engineering and optimising existing products, and generating technical drawings for manufacture. You will also be required to solve design and engineering challenges and manage your time and projects in a fast-paced design environment.

Experience and Skills required for the Junior Product Designer role:

  • Educated in a relevant degree discipline such as Product Design or Design Engineering
  • Experienced user of SolidWorks or similar (Creo, NX, Fusion 360 etc.)
  • An understanding of manufacturing processes and designing for production manufacture
  • A keenness to learn and develop skills and knowledge with in product design
  • Competent user of Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to organise their own time to meet project deadlines
  • The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and suppliers
  • Experience of design for manufacture and understanding of engineering concepts and materials

This company creates joinery pieces for some of the finest commercial interiors being designed in the UK today. Operating nationwide from their factory and offices in Berkshire they offer total management of joinery packages, from initial site survey through to installation.

They are currently seeking an additional Technical Designer to join the team and work with a comprehensive range of materials and designs for high-end companies throughout the capital. Some of their recent projects have been for Red Bull, Maclaren Motorsport, Houzz and LinkedIn.

The Joinery and Furniture Designer remit will be to:

  • Create concept designs, rendering and turning them into ready-to-manufacture technical drawings
  • Produce complete and checked technical drawings
  • Research technical details of components, materials and designs used, to ensure fit-for-purpose
  • Where possible, engineer designs to be as efficient as possible for manufacture
  • Research new solutions to technical issues
  • Participate in company and departmental discussions about improvements and innovation

Experience and skills required for the Joinery and Furniture Designer are:

  • Experience working with Solid Edge or SolidWorks 3D design software
  • Experience of producing joinery drawings with preferably hands-on knowledge in manufacturing and assembly
  • Manufacturing and pre-installation construction takes place in house, so good communication skills are required to resolve any potential design and material issues
  • Take offs for CNC milling and other outsourced material production will also be required directly from the CAD drawings, so accuracy is vital
  • Experience in the commercial interior sector is also a benefit
  • Self-confident, pro-active and a genuine interest in the sector

A good salary is on offer along with paid over-time if needed. 22 days holiday increasing by 1 day every 2 years to a maximum of 25 days. Lunch is provided by the company and there is parking space on the premises.
